Charcuterie and cheese boards concept Bar Boteco
In September, Bar Boteco opened its doors at 7 Lavendelstraat in Amersfoort. It is the first establishment of Stephanie de Wit and Bas Smeets. You are able to put together your own charcuterie or cheese board (choice from 14 different types of charcuterie and cheese) and these are combined with a baguette and various spreads. You can also enjoy cheesy fondues, caviar & oysters and of course you can finish with a dessert. There is also the option to have your personalized charcuterie/cheese board delivered to your home.
Nice concept! Last year we visited Kured, a comparable charcuterie concept from Boston and New York. At Kured you can put together your own snack box of charcuterie!

Restobar Tuur
At the end of August, restobar Tuur opened near the waterfront in the brand new shopping center, De Groote Wielen in Rosmalen. As the name suggests, it is a combination of a restaurant and bar, where you are welcome for lunch, dinner but also for the tastiest cocktails, amazing wines and delicious bites. The menu includes items such as Croque Monsieur, Shakshuka flatbread, vegetable fries and an AvonTuurtje. By the way, they are still looking for employees.

Sjaan in de Jordaan | A new retail concept in Amsterdam
No catering, but a fun retail concept! On October 12th, ‘Sjaan in de Jordaan‘ opened their doors. They describe themselves as “A gift store full of hidden gems”. They sell a carefully curated selection of wine, art, tableware, coffee beans, cookbooks, (hot) sauces, olive oil, craft beers and, on occasion, oysters. It is a true family business. Everyone has done their part in picking the products that make them happy. As they point out, they would like to bring back the warm cozy atmosphere of the Jordaan in their store at 25 Tichelstraat. The enthusiasm is noticeable!
