Every day we spot fun, new concepts. This week: Loft 88 which is opening a second location in Bilthoven and, like their location in IJsselstein, is set to become an ‘urban oasis with boho vibes’. Zeste Keuken & Bar in Groningen opened recently. You can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine at Zeste Kitchen & Bar, with many dishes and the limoncello being made in-house. And Sis & Joy, a lunchroom opened by two sisters at the Winkelhof in Leiderdorp . A spot to enjoy their delicious cakes but also have lunch and drinks.

Loft 88 opens second location in Bilthoven | Urban oasis with a boho vibe
Loft 88’s first restaurant is located in IJsselstein and soon they will open their second branch at Vinkenplein 6 in Bilthoven. They are still looking for staff in Bilthoven! They call their restaurants, ‘an urban oasis with a boho vibe’. It is a cosy casual place to have a great meal and drink with family or friends. You will enjoy simple but tasty dishes with fresh ingredients. Check out the reel below! Dishes such as pumpkin spice pancakes, charcuterie boards, stone-oven pizzas, salad bowls, camembert from the oven, sea bass, gnocchi with scallops, risotto with truffle and mushrooms, fresh chips from ‘Friet Hoes’ and Loaded fries (with parmesan, truffle mayo and spring onion) will also soon be available in Bilthoven!

Sis & Joy | Two sisters realise their dream, a lunchroom in Leiderdorp
Sis & Joy is a lunchroom, recently opened at the Winkelhof in Leiderdorp. The sisters, Nathalie and Joyce, serve breakfast, homemade cakes and coffee, lunch and early drinks from Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Once a month, they open their doors on Sundays. They spent 2 months renovating and have opened at the former grand café Hofplein site since November 27th. The sisters both have a background in hospitality. Nathalie trained as a chef and worked as a self-employed chef for a few years. Joyce studied at the Hotel school The Hague and has worked in the catering industry during and after her studies, serving food. After several years working in other sectors, it is now time to realise their dream, a lunchroom! For lunch, they serve a ‘Burrata with fresh fig sandwich’, a ‘Club sandwich’, a ‘Grilled vegetable sandwich’ and a ‘Pastrami sandwich’, among others. For snacks, they serve mini croquettes, truffle fries and gyoza. A colleague has already tried Nathalie and Joyce’s tasty ‘blondies’ during a pop-up at the annual fair Leiderdorp, early September. Zeste Keuken & Bar | Mediterranean cuisine in Groningen
At the end of October, Zeste Keuken & Bar opened on Nieuweweg 2 in Groningen! Here you can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. Zeste Keuken & Bar is the new business from the owners of Florentin and Pachamama, which is located on the site of the former Flinders Café. Zeste Keuken & Bar exudes a modern, cosy atmosphere on Instagram where you can enjoy shared-dining or as they like to refer to it ‘enjoy for yourself’. Tasty Mediterranean dishes on the menu: for lunch sandwiches made with their own focaccia with Za’atar olive oil, romanesco and lemon aioli, among others. But also ‘Deep-fried aubergine with yoghurt and kumquat’ or ‘Michelangelo’s ravioli with pumpkin and pecorino’. On the evening menu, we would go for the ‘Tuna crudo with watermelon and pretty flowers’ and the ‘Bavette with gremolata and hasselback potato’ or the ‘Scallops with smoked butter and white chocolate’. But there is much more on the menu! What we like is the small and large portions of cheeses, and charcuterie (or a mix of both). Their signature dessert made of vanilla, bergamot, white chocolate and lemon, called ‘Lemon for dessert’ – also looks really delicious. And if you love a limoncello with your coffee, they make it themselves.
