Waking up between sharks with Airbnb’s ‘A Night At’
A once in a lifetime experience: spending the night at a very unique accommodation. In the context of ‘A Night At’ campaign it is possible to spend the night in an underwater bedroom in the shark tank of Aquarium de Paris. This means you will wake up between sharks! Who dares?
‘A Night At’: The Shark Aquarium
Imagine yourself submerged in three million litres, in an aquarium ten meters deep, alongside 35 of the most majestic creatures on Earth: sharks! Three couples will get the chance to stay the night on the 11th, 12th and 13th of April. You are welcomed by host Fred Buyle, a world record-breaking freediver, underwater photographer, and shark enthusiast. After you are welcomed by Fred, whilst he is swimming alongside the sharks, you will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of sharks: how they live, why they’re so misunderstood, and their importance to the ocean’s ecosystem. Followed by an intimate dinner with a view on the shark aquarium.
“We are very excited! By offering this place to stay we are the first aquarium in the world that offers their visitors the chance to be more than only a visitor,” says Alexis L. Powilewics, CEO of Aquarium de Paris. “Sharks are essential for the health of the ecosystem of the sea and their disappearance would be an enormous threat for the ecosystem. This observation area offers scientists the opportunity to analyse their behaviour, so we can protect the sharks in a better way.”
The guests could already book nights at ski lifts, former airplanes, football stadiums and even at the top of a ski-jump via Airbnb. “Whether you have a passion or phobia for sharks, this won’t only be a once in a lifetime experience but also offers you the opportunity to change your view on these beautiful animals.”
Do you want to win this unique experience? Visit the accommodation page on Airbnb. It doesn’t matter where you are from, winners will be flown in from all over the world. Don’t forget to sign up before the deadline on the 3rd of April, at 23:59.
