A hotel in Belgium lets lonely guests rent a goldfish to keep them company
When you’re travelling solo, staying in a hotel can be a somewhat lonely experience – but one hotel in Belgium is setting out to change this for their guests! The Hotel Charleroi Airport, located in Gosselies just a stone’s throw from Brussels, is offering its guests the option to rent a goldfish for the night for just over £3, to have a bit of company in their room.
Meat smoothies
People are suspicious when it comes to using techniques to create food. But think of the people who have issues with eating. They can benefit from ‘novel foods’, better known as drinkable food. Butcher Klassen from Germany is launching a new product under the name Pete&Phil’s, the meat smoothie, available from the 1st of October.
Special Dutch oyster and gin combinations in New York, from the 15th until the 30th of September
Rutte Distallateurs is taking a new step in the USA. After their success on the drink and cocktail conference ‘Tales of the Cocktail 2017’, Rutte will putt a special gin and food combinations in the spotlights during the New York Oyster Week from the 15th until the 30th of September. Myriam Hendrickx, Master distiller of Rutte says: “Our company has 150 years of experience in distilling special drinks made of natural products. The combination of gin or jenever with raw fish is a culinary tradition in the Netherlands. We take this tradition to a new level on the New York Oyster Week.”
CitizenM’s flagship hotel in Paris: citizinM Gare de Lyon will open soon it’s the 12th citizenM, with many more on the drawing board.
CitizenM Gare de Lyon is shortly opening after citizenM La Defénse in May 2017, and is the third citizenM hotel in Paris. The hotel is around the block from one of Paris’s major transportation hubs, Gare de Lyon train station. Located within a former office tower block, this particular hotel offers 338 rooms, topped with a Parisian-apartment-style CloudM skybar. New in Paris, guests get even more comfort in the rooms, thanks to a soft and cosy headboard which can turn your huge bed into the greatest sofa you’ve ever had. Here you can watch movies all day, work into the night or just snuggle up and contemplate the view. CitizenM Gare de Lyon is it’s 12th hotel to open, and will be followed up soon by many more CitizenM hotels across the globe. CitizenM is developing hotels in Copenhagen, Zurich, New York, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai.
