Pickleball courts at hotel grounds
We came across an article on wellness in hotels and they mentioned pickleball, a combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong. It’s America’s fastest-growing sport and we think it looks a lot like Padel, which is very popular in the Netherlands. It seems that and dozens of hotel properties in the USA have added pickleball programs to their list of fitness offerings, including Turtle Bay on Oahu and Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa. As the playfield is a lot smaller than a tennis court, it might be a sport for elderly former tennis players? And an idea for other leisure parks and hotels as well. Below a long video on how pickleball is played!
New York is the most vegan obsessed state
According to a study, New York is the state most interested in veganism with 594.64 vegan-related searches per 100k residents made over the course of 12 months. With the number of vegan restaurants growing in NYC along with Central Park’s new Vegan Night Market, it’s obvious that veganism is making strides around NYC and throughout New York in general–and this new study proves it. And she loves to swim, so if we ever would visit the Bordeaux area, we most certainly would visit Mouille tes Pattes, the first swimming pool for dogs in Mérignac. The pool opened this May. Through its 180 square meters, this space offers an indoor swimming pool heated to 28°C with natural water filtered by UV treatment with neutral PH. There is also a play area and very important for dogs as Jimmy (a curly labradoodle) they also have a washing and drying room, with natural and local products available. IKEA introduces the plantdog in the Netherlands: a plant-based version of their popular hotdog. Like all plant-based options in the IKEA Food range, this new hotdog is lower in price than the chicken variety. This way, the Swedish furniture store wants to encourage people to opt for a plant-based alternative. The recipe of the plant dog has been developed in such a way that the taste and texture correspond to that of the chicken variant, without the use of animal ingredients. The plantdog will be available in all IKEA bistros from Monday July 10th. Currently, the range of hot dishes in IKEA restaurants consists of fifty percent vegetarian dishes. In the bistros, customers could already opt for the veggie dog, plant-based soft ice cream and plant-based and vegetarian Swedish balls. More details in their press release, link in title.
