The Cone Masters | Coffee in a cone now available in Amsterdam

Last year September we wrote about the Instagram hashtag #coffeeinacone. The idea to serve coffee in a cone comes from South Africa. In January 2016 Dayne Levinrad uploaded his first photo with this hashtag. It is now possible to drink a coffee in a cone at pop-up store The Cone Masters located at Vijzelgracht 41 in Amsterdam. Until the 18^th of June you can enjoy this coffee in a cone with chocolate.

Floris de Laat, one of the The Cone Masters founders spotted the coffee in a cone in South Africa. Together with the other founders he decided to bring the idea to the Netherlands. Floris started the pop-up together with three friends (Elise Geleijnse, Casper Seinen and Max van der Laan)  as part of their Business Administration studies. If you want to enjoy the coffee in a cone you must be quick. They stop selling the product on the 18^th of June but if there is a great demand in Amsterdam, they have the ambition to continue The Cone Masters.

The chocolate comes from Chocolaterie Geleijnse in Renesse and the coffee comes from Ravott in Voorhout. The entrepreneurs filled the ice cream cones themselves. In the cones they serve several kinds of coffee, such as: a regular coffee, double espresso or a cappuccino. The cones are either filled with milk, pure or white chocolate. As the chocolate and the coffee are mixed together, the product is very suitable for the younger generation that does not like the bitterness of coffee. You can’t leave your coffee in the cone for a long time, the cookie will become a bit soggy!
