Van Wonderen Stroopwafels | Most enjoyable stroopwafel shop in the Netherlands

A new stroopwafel shop will open soon at the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam. A stroopwafel is a typical Dutch sweet made out of two thin layered waffles with a caramel-like syrup filling in the middle. It’s not one of the stroopwafel shops we often spot in city centers. Van Wonderen Stroopwafels is going to be a ‘sweet’ paradise that, besides stroopwafels in different sizes and flavors, also is going to sell coffee and chocolate. The exact opening date is unknown but it’s definitely going to be a great one. The photos do speak for themselves.

Clear Coffee or colourless coffee in a bottle, CLR CFF. Slovakians David and Adam Nagy came up with a solution to those awful coffee stains on your teeth: clear coffee. CLR CFF is made with high-quality Arabica coffee beans and pure water. It looks like water but is cold coffee. Might be a secret ingredient for coffee based cocktails!

The patent has been requested last year by BCE Bowling and approved for a new form of bowling: a bowling alley that is adjustable in height. Interactive and elevated bowling alleys especially intended for the older bowlers. Subway’s Facebook Messenger ordering bot | Launched in the United States

Last week, Subway launched a bot for Facebook Messenger that allows guests to order sandwiches and salads from more than 26,500 Subway restaurants in the U.S. The first-of-its-kind sandwich ordering bot was announced at the F8 Facebook Developer Conference with Agilitee, one of Subway’s digital partners, and is the latest innovation from Subway® Digital. Guests can use Subway’s Facebook Messenger ordering bot to order a sandwich or salad, customize it with their favorite bread; cheese; vegetables; and sauce, to pay on any device that supports Messenger. The bot is the latest addition to the brand’s mobile order systems that includes web ordering and app ordering.

Highland Park Bowl | Awesome bowling alley

Highland Park Bowl is known to be “LA’s oldest bowling alley”. The bowling center that originates from 1927, has been completely renovated recently. The 1933 Group, an architect specialized in creating an ancient 20th century atmosphere is responsible for the renovation. The images above show that this company is really specialized in this type of design! We haven’t seen bowling alleys with this type of décor before.

Storage Stool | Smart storage chairs

The Storage Stool, a chair with a compartment for storing your bags or jackets. You have high stools, low stools, bar stools, saddle stools, moveable stools and even bar stools with a backrest. But you can’t store anything in these chairs, Jeroen Speksnijder, owner of interior shop Spoor 38, decided to design one with a storage unit. The result is the Storage Stool, a timeless, robust wooden chair with a metal storage frame. Underneath the seat hangs a metal, extendable basket in which you can store your items, for example, your iPad, computer or handbag, always safe and nearby.

Most of us know them, Köttbullar, the famous IKEA meatballs. They’re almost as legendary as the furniture itself. For the ones who can’t get enough of them, we got news: IKEA is considering opening IKEA standalone restaurants! Hopefully in the near future you can enjoy the famous meatballs together with a class of lingonberry juice and a piece of Daim cake in one of the IKEA standalone restaurants.

Robot Sally makes you a proportioned salad through science. Although we experience the concept more like a vending machine than a robot, we really like the idea and think Sally could be an asset to your hotel lobby!
Restaurant Tante Kee | Reopened after a three months renovation

On the 1st of April, Restaurant Tante Kee (aunt Kee) at the Kaag Island in the West of the Netherlands reopened after a three months renovation. Restaurant owners Kim Edwards and Raymond Reeb renewed the restaurant, the terrace, the logo and corporate identity completely. The New chef Bobby Rust and Raymond Reeb have already composed their first menu together. During the renovation social media platforms were used to keep all their guests and those interested informed about new developments.
Loetje Rotterdam | Introduced in Rotterdam by Fred van Leer

To this date many (inter)national Loetje fans have already enjoyed the famous Loetje steaks in Amsterdam and surroundings. Steaks ‘swimming’ in a lot of gravy which you can eat with a piece of bread. Last week Dutch stylist Fred van Leer and chef Bob Groen cooked the first steak at Loetje Rotterdam in its famous butter: Blue Band.

Mr Fogg’s arrived in Mayfair, London in the summer of 2013. A recreation of the actual home of Jules Verne’s most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg. Modelled on the very Mayfair house, the bar is refined but at the same time truly off-the-wall, breathing liveliness and fun into the West End.
