Soof Drinks wonders if you know what you drink?
“Know what you eat”: you’ve probably heard this from your mother, grandmother or even your personal trainer. Or otherwise you heard it in commercials, from fit boys or read it on packaging on the shelf or in health blogs. We are becoming more critical and wiser when it comes to what is on our plates, but do you actually know what you are drinking? Research shows that as much as 98.5% of the soft drink shelf consists of products with unrecognizable and unpronounceable ingredients. You don’t want to drink that! Soof Drinks thinks it’s time for a revolution in our soft drink glasses.
Besides choosing for a soft drink with no mess, Soof Drinks also have a great taste!

Cut the crap | No rubbish in the soft drinks by Soof Drinks
Step into just about any supermarket chain, randomly turn over some bottles and cans on the soft drinks shelf and you will read a lot of unrecognizable and unpronounceable ingredients: less than 2% of soft drinks contain no crap*. “Know what you’re drinking” is difficult!
Nicole Horsmans and Daan Harterink also know this. Both worked for years in the supermarket and food industry until they decided: this can and must be different. With Soof Drinks, they were the very first to start a revolution in a glass in 2017. Nicole: “We make syrups and soft drinks from 100% natural fruit, vegetables and herbs, nothing else! So no added sugars, sugar substitutes, preservatives, sweeteners, colours and flavours. Really 0% rubbish.” With Soof Drinks, you’ll also find all the ingredients on the front of the packaging. Daan: “We understand that it’s cheaper for soft drink producers to use all kinds of additives or sugar substitutes but for flavour, it’s not necessary at all.”
Challenger of the soft drink industry
Soof’s main mission is a transparent and future-proof food industry, no more small prints and unnecessary ingredients. After five years of solid growth in both the Dutch and international hospitality and retail, Soof Drinks is still the only Dutch soft drink brand** that uses only fruit, vegetables and herbs. Nicole: “That surprises us regularly: it can’t be only us, thirsty for change?” That also shows Soof’s growth: consumers are ready for knowing what you drink.
