Do you like specialty beers and old-school arcade games? We spot this combination more often. Beer breweries and pubs which not only offer a wide variety of specialty beers but also give you the opportunity to play nostalgic retro arcade games such as: pinball, air-hockey, pool or even get rid of your frustrations by playing the shooting game Mortal Kombat. In Amsterdam we even have a hotel where you can play, The Arcade hotel.

Arcade halls abroad

Big halls, arcade games, a group of friends and special beers. A couple of examples from abroad. For example the Emporium Arcade Bar who has two locations in Chicago. Both locations have a gigantic screen on the wall, offer plenty of arcade games and give you the possibility to order beer from an extensive beer list with a wide variety of specialty beers.

The Arts District Brewing Company even goes beyond this. This beer brewery in Los Angeles changed its tasting room into a gaming area. At the brewery, guests can enjoy games such as table tennis and darts and the brewery offers an extensive beer menu.

A bit more close to the Netherlands, at the BrewDog in West-London, you can relax and wait for your beer or food whilst playing games at one of the vintage arcade machines.

Retro Arcade games in the Netherlands

In Amsterdam you can go to one of the two locations of the TonTon Club to play arcade games, they even have their own TonTon Club XL event. Like in the old days, you can play different games for days in a row here. This is also possible at the Arcade Hotel. If you book a room at this hotel, you can play games on classic consoles such as the Super Nintendo or handhelds such as the Gameboy during your stay.
