Last week we wrote about Puttshack, which has raised growth capital in the USA. A cool concept with a tech-driven minigolf experience, great food, drinks and parties. In short, competitive fun! The system keeps track of individual scores itself through patented Trackaball™ technology, and you can earn and lose points based on how you play. Puttshack opened its first location in London in 2018. There are now four locations in the UK and two in the USA, in Atlanta and Chicago, with ambitious plans for expansion there. Competitive fun at Puttshack
Puttshack is a leading concept in the emerging and growing market of competitive fun. In the Netherlands, we have Mooie Boules, special designers bowling alleys, even a race park at Fletcher Hotel Amsterdam and several karaoke bars such as Duke of Tokyo in Utrecht, among others.
Puttshack combines a high-tech mini-golf game with great food, drinks and parties and can be played with several generations. The game is played with the patented Trackaball™ technology. A game consists of 9 holes and takes an average of 30 minutes. There are tables along the course so guests can bring their food and drinks while playing.
The menu features several signature cocktails such as a ‘Candy Crush’ with lemon vodka, peach liqueur, almond, grenadine, apple and lime or the ‘spill the tee’ with tequila, matcha tea, sugar, lime and prosecco. Besides these special cocktails, they also serve mocktails, shots and a wide range of beer and wine. The food is also thoughtful, they have several burgers and pizzas on the menu but also ‘shareables’, several smaller dishes that can be shared.
About Puttshack
Puttshack has been created by Adam Breeden (Al Star Lanes, AceBounce, Flight Club) and brothers Steven and Dave Jolliffe (Topgolf). They created this new game by combining the best of playing mini golf – the fun, the accessibility for all – with modern technology. In addition to the four locations in London and in Chicago and Atlanta, there are new locations in Boston and Miami scheduled to open late this autumn, followed by one in St. Louis this winter. Additional locations in Dallas, Denver, Houston, Nashville, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Scottsdale, plus a second location in Atlanta, are all expected to open in 2023, with other USA locations to be announced very soon. This latest round of funding will allow the team to continue securing unique and desirable real estate opportunities as it expands into more top markets.
