Pulitzer Amsterdam opens more suites and The Beauty House

Located between the picturesque Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht canals, this iconic hotel spans twenty-five interconnected 17th- and 18th-century canal houses in the heart of the bustling canal belt. Inspired by the Dutch Golden Age, Creative Director Jacu Strauss showcases a blend of authentic Amsterdam decor with contemporary luxury and modern influences.

The Largest Merchant Suite

Located over three floors in one of the 17th-century canal houses, this spacious suite offers a beautiful sitting and dining room, three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with extraordinary views of the Keizersgracht canal. An overnight stay includes personal concierge services, private transfers, other luxury amenities such as a stocked wine cabinet.

The Merchant Suite is an eclectic mix of contemporary design and vintage charm. The property retains its original windows and the exposed beams of the canal house. Jacu Strauss combines exquisite artifacts from local artists and collectors with extraordinary furniture, with chairs by Dutch Moooi and lighting by Chelsom. An exploration of treasures within the walls of all three levels of this suite.

New exclusive Collector’s Suites

The Collector Suite series is complemented by the addition of the Flower Collector’s Suite and the Porcelain Collector’s Suite. All suites tribute to Amsterdam’s famous aristocrats, including writers, artists and antique collectors, offering guests a truly local experience in an elegant setting.

Step into the enchanting world of the two-room Flower Collector’s Suite, a tribute to Amsterdam’s rich botanical heritage. Perfectly tailored to the country’s most celebrated flower, the tulip, this stunning retreat enchants guests with its vibrant floral motifs and extraordinary canal views. Inspired by 19th-century tulip traders, this suite is covered in a tapestry of lush greenery and delicate flowers and adorned with specially selected artwork, antique mirrors and rich fabrics.

The new Porcelain Collector’s Suite is a two-room suite featuring an eclectic display of locally produced porcelain art. This tranquil oasis, overlooking the Keizersgracht, invites guests to explore centuries of this extraordinary handicraft. From delicate vintage Delft tiles to modern interpretations of traditional porcelain, including humorous Staffordshire sculptures, the suite showcases an eclectic collection of treasures – an ode to the collecting passion of former residents. With its harmonious blend of blue, white and gold accents, the Porcelain Collector’s Suite offers a special retreat with Dutch heritage.

The Beauty House by Pulitzer Amsterdam

A new beauty and wellness destination located in a charming canal house in the heart of Amsterdam is the wellness center The Beauty House. The Beauty House shares the same passion for ultimate hospitality as nearby Pulitzer Amsterdam, a place of relaxation for hotel guests and Amsterdam residents alike. Customized treatments, each with a personal touch, The Beauty House brings beauty from the inside and out. Divided over three floors, each space has its own function with a hair -, nail, massage and facial area. The extensive menu of The Beauty House, in collaboration with renowned brands such as 111SKIN, Dutch Keune and Chāmpo, offers a mix of traditional and high-tech treatments, including aromatherapy massages, cryotherapy, reflexology, non-surgical facelifts and blowouts – each highly personalized with a preliminary consultation.

Creative Director Jacu Strauss says, “We thought long and hard about what The Beauty House really means to us and what we would like to portray; because nothing is more personal than wellness. The design is a fusion of the warm and neutral colors and materials visible throughout the three floors, with a touch of the striking red. This bright color represents the vintage Hollywood red on the lips. A beautifully recognizable image that exudes beauty and confidence.”
