Playing curling during the Christmas dinner
Is curling boring? Doubtful. Amsterdam offers plenty of possibilities in the upcoming weeks to try out this Olympic sport. For example Bowery Restaurant at the Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and the Rooftopbar Floor17 on the Ramada Apollo Hotel offer people the possibility to get familiar with the sport!
Curling at Floor17
Floor17 launched their ‘curling courts’ on the 9th of December and you can try the sport here until the 31st of January. The two courts can accommodate up to six people each. The costs are € 60,= per court and per hour, this includes a welcome drink and instructions during the game. Last weekend, it was even more fun to play as the roof of the hotel was transformed into a Christmas market.
Bowery Restaurant
Bowery Restaurant opened their curling courts since last week. Prior to a four-course dinner, you can play with the whole family. The complete package costs € 70,= per person.
Belgium, England, Monaco
Curling seems to be getting more popular abroad as well with possibilities to play in England and Belgium. In London there are curling courts until the 23rd of December on a rooftop in trendy Shoreditch and in Antwerp the first Antwerp Curling Cup ever is being organized this winter. Last year we already spotted a curling rink in Monaco.
