German company Composite GmbH introduced the CabinCube. These pop-up living cubes are inexpensive and can be used as both permanent and temporary location. The first CabinCube hotel was opened in Berlin lately and will soon be available in other parts of the world, including the Netherlands.

In 2010 we already wrote about the napkins, sold in the shape of a tablet. By adding water the tablet changes into a napkin. Recently we received another type of the napkin in Italy. A single package, a napkin with liquid in a plastic box, the so-called NAPKIN GO. Useful to add in the box of the doorstep delivery services.

Last Monday the Dutch sherry campaign was presented in ‘De Rotterdamse Markthal’. Importers, retailers, restaurant owners, sommeliers and trainers were all invited. Marketing agency Alterego developed an interactive platform sherry.wine/nl at which they share information and inspiration and give education. You will find many tips at the platform but also ‘create your own Shapa’, ‘create cocktails with sherry’ or ‘create a dish with sherry’. The purpose of this presentation was to let the Dutch people rediscover sherry, just like the Dutch people rediscovered gin and genever. A revival of sherry? The Harmony of the Seas, the largest cruise ship of the world, has a Bionic Bar for their guests. Instead of a bartender throwing around bottles, glasses and ice you will find a robot arm preparing the cocktails for the guests. MS Harmony of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise ship from Royal Caribbean International. The ship and its guests visited Rotterdam today, May 24th.

This app connects travellers with professional photographers in over 160 cities worldwide. One of the new trends is to age beers, something which is already done by brewers or pub owners in the past. BrewDog experience will include a hotel

The Scottisch craft-beer brewery BrewDog is set to move forward with its plans to open a craft beer-themed hotel. They will build the BrewDog hotel in the neighbourhood of their brewery, with a ‘PUNK IPA’ tap in the hotel rooms. A true BrewDog experience. Through a crowdfunding campaign which ended last week they managed to raise 19 million pounds. The money is going to be used to build the new hotel and a new brewery. They will also invest in more pubs.

A’DAM the new multifunctional tower

Toren Overhoeks was the former Shell Office and is currently being transformed into a vertical city. After 40 years of ‘isolation’, A’DAM Tower is going to let the general public enjoy this unique place in Amsterdam. A’DAM Lookout will be situated in the crown of the A’DAM tower. This will be an iconic observation platform which is missing now in Amsterdam.
