Last January we visited Miami Beach, unfortunately just one night and last minute so the hotel was fully booked. But in the morning we hired bikes to stroll the scenic bike path of Miami beach and took a short moment to visit this particular and truly artistic hotel. Even breakfast was fully booked but walking through the entrance to the garden with the famous Damien Hirst’ sculpture ‘Gone but not Forgotten’, was worth the visit. The Faena Hotel Miami Beach is part of the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’ and is famous for their commitment to transform the ordinary to the extraordinary. Faena Hotel Miami Beach features remarkable works by artists including Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Alberto Garutti, Gonzalo Fuenmayor, Manuel Ameztoy and Juan Gatti.

So if you’re going to Miami Beach and love art, we definitely recommend you to check whether you can stay at this artistic hotel! You could also try to make a reservation at one of their restaurants or have a sip at the Saxony bar.   read more

The place can be used to get some work done or for example if you have time to fill between meetings, or if you just arrived in town after a long flight and need somewhere to freshen up before going to your office or a meeting. read more

The old, characteristic metal factory in the upcoming ZOHO quarter in Rotterdam will be transformed into a French village square. Local restaurants (the names of which are not yet disclosed), will serve their signature dishes and at the bar a wide range of wine, specialty and local beers will be available. We too sometimes use videos as a source of inspiration to write about. With this week again a selection of videos which Micha Luksenburg thinks are worth watching.

This week a video about Chef Miro Uskokovic at the Gramercy Tavern who uses alternative sugars and he is making a delicious looking ‘ice cream sundae’ with these sugars. Next to that a video about a special collaboration between Airbnb and the Louvre museum and finally a video about drones delivering coffee in Australia. read more

The project is called Deepspot and is unique by its size, but also because of the transparency of water. Crystalline depth of 45 meters (8,000 cubic meters of water, 27 times as much as in ordinary 25-meter swimming pools!) will provide pool users with an extraordinary experience. Great place to practice your diving skills! read more
