Your own fresh coffee during a picknick or a festival. It’s possible with the ‘Hey Joe Coffee Mug’. This isn’t only a coffee flask, but also a portable coffee machine. Making a cup of coffee is simple; add water and coffee, press one, two or three times on the button to decide the temperature and the ‘Hey Joe Coffee Mug’ does it’s magic. The device is battery operated, which allows the ‘Hey Joe Coffee Mug’ to be used everywhere. The ‘Hey Joe Coffee Mug’ can only be preordered via Kickstarter (crowdfunding platform).

The edible mist machine

A new product from ‘Lick Me I’m Delicious’ by award winning food inventor Charlie Harry Francis. He uses an Ultrasonic Vaporization system, called ‘the Edible Mist Machine’. This machine produces a floating cloud of micro mist which you suck up through a straw. Mists come in a range of over 200 flavours from chocolate to coffee, apple pie or even smoked Bacon. ‘Lick Me I’m Delicious’ is a company that likes to experiment with food! Nescafe Alarm Cap

In collaboration with creative agency ‘Publicis Mexico’, coffee brand Nescafé Mexico has developed an Alarm Cap. The Alarm Cap encourages people to get up from bed and immediately pour a cup of coffee. The alarm sounds to wake people in the morning and can only be turned off when the lid is twisted and removed from the coffee container.

The first location of the Swiss restaurant chain ‘Not Guilty’ opened its doors in 2007 and in 2013 they opened their third location in Zürich. ‘Not Guilty’ stands for ‘Simply natural food’. The products are natural and locally sourced. There is a list of supplier with on the website of ‘Not Guilty’, their own story. The menu includes salads, warm salads, soups, sandwiches, yoghurt with muesli and coffee. The interior of the restaurant is open with wooden elements like a natural oak floor combined with white and pastel shades. There is a large colorful salad bar at the entrance with menu boards and a wall with drinks. Click here for picture inspiration.

Cognac brand Hennessy and chocolate connoisseur Chocolaterie & Patisserie Tout made different combinations of cognac and chocolate: ‘Perfect Pairing’. The many types of chocolate and new cognac blends provide many surprising combinations. The ‘Perfect Pairing’ ranges of cocktails and desserts to a simple cup of coffee. Tough guys and fresh espresso. The ‘espresso jongens’ (espresso boys) can be hired for any type of event, party, wedding or exhibition. The espresso served is made of sustainable coffee beans and they use a hand-operated pump to generate the pressure to serve the espresso. With the belt with cups, stirrers and sugar they have everything needed. The espresso boys can be combined with the ‘meisjes met smaak’ (girls with taste) to make a combination of coffee with something sweet and delicious. The ‘meisjes met smaak’ are known of the oyster girls, but can also be hired as macaron girl, pata girl, sushi girl, ice cream girl, brullee girl etc.

The quirky bar concept ‘General Store & Co’ in Melbourne sells goods, groceries and grog. The concept is inspired by the old American Trading Posts where grocers sold food, clothing and household items. Later this evolved into General Stores that sold everything including alcohol, groceries and all sorts of retail products. The General Store & Co in Melbourne has a full service bar and café, in-house barber, shoe and clothing store, a bookstore, a private courtyard garden and a grocery with a wide range of organic products. A meeting place for people, that starts in the morning with a cup of coffee and ends in the evening with a drink in the bar. 

Vive le Vin wine bus

Folkert-Jan Duynstee decided after his world tour in 2012 to do something with his passion for wines. In the France Burgundy region he found a Citroen HY Currus bus from 1964, the start of ‘Vive le Vin’. Vive le Vin is available for events throughout the Netherlands, such as festivals, receptions and weddings. The wine poured by Vive le Vin comes from countries around the world and is organic. Beside the wide range of wines, Vive le Vin also pours organic juices, beers, coffee and serves snacks and sweets. The bus has a heated tent and bar stools.

Caffeine Attendant in public toilet

After a two years of planning and renovation, the former Victorian men’s room in the heart of Fitzrovia (London) was converted into coffee shop ‘Cafeine Attendant’ with quirky features. The original porcelain urinals from 1890 have been cleaned and now serve as a seat and the old payment counter is transferred into a small kitchens. The coffee is made with hand roasted beans from the Caravan Roastery.
