Mike Thompson discovered that some algae produce electricity during photosynthesis. He has designed an algae-lamp. A small battery stores energy and uses it to generate light. The result is a kind of lava lamp, but environmentally friendly. In order to stimulate photosynthesis just add water, and occasionally blow in some CO2. Offcourse the algae themselves have to be in the lamp.

This ‘Cappuccino Coffee Stick’ created by designer Heo Im Jeong, is nothing more than a spoonful of soluble coffee. Pour hot water into a cup and then stir with a coffee stick until the coffee is dissolved in hot water. There are five different flavors available.

In the G-pier at Amsterdam Schiphol airport a new gate opened. The pier was developed by Philips. The lighting in the gate can be tailored to the style and colors of the airline. By using illuminated billboards passengers can distinguished the various stages of the boarding process. In the hall there are also business hotspots.

Bclean washes company cars without using water. Once every two weeks, the cars are washed at a designated location. Cars are washed using a citruswax, and a specially designed cloth. Every time this saves 150 liters of water.
