Google is about to place phonebooths in America at various universities and airports. Through Google Voice, the VoIP service by Google, people can call for free for 20 minutes. However, phonecalls to other countries are likely to be more expensive.

Sleep in a car

The old airport  Bobingen in Stuttgart, Germany was recently converted into a hotel. The special thing about this hotel is that the beds are made from old classic cars. So you can sleep in a beetle, a Mercedes-Benz car wash or a 70’s Cadillac Drive-in theater. The old control tower is now a 3-storey suite.

In Littlehampton, artists from Studio Weave created an artistic bench. The bench is 324 meters long and can accommodate up to 300 people. The bench is composed of tropical hardwood, waste material and steel bars. Under a bronze canopy, they made a true a spectacle. There are plans to extend the bench to 621 meters.

The LM Hawaii is designed as an environmentally friendly way to go to the beach. With two seats and two pitches you can drive to the beach in an eco-friendly manner. The car is powered by 4 electric motors.

Pop-up vegetable market stall

Willem & Drees sell fruit and vegetables directly from farmers to supermarkets. If they still have fruit or vegetables left they sell them at pop-up fruit stalls. By using a pop-up stall, Willem & Drees want people to get acquainted with products directly from the land. The launch will take place during KunsthalKOOKT on September 9th .
