During a meeting of MVO Nederland (organisation Corporate Social Responsibility in the Netherlands) and Wageningen Academy, meat company Bolscher introduced a new product category, between meat and vega. The meeting ‘from food waste to food business’ was organised to prevent waste and make use of residual flows. The residual flow of ‘mushroom stems’ is used in one of Meat Your Veggies’s products. read more

We just launched a Dutch Whitepaper about the Wellness industry in the Netherlands and one of the international trends we spotted is the healthy cuisine. Wellness is about feeling healthy ‘from body to mind’. One of the features of a healthy lifestyle is a cuisine with more focus on ‘foods with a function’. Like turmeric, a power food that’s often used in the Ayurvedic cuisine. In the wellbeing approach they often use Ayurvedic treatments. Saturday the 10th of June DeDAKKAS started a crowdfunding campaign in order to realize their project, a green hospitality concept on top of parking garage ‘de Kamp’ in the city centre of Haarlem. According to the initiators the concept, situated in urban area of Haarlem, will be unique and approachable. A place to relax, with a great view over the city centre while enjoying pure food and drinks. Besides the hospitality greenhouse there will also be a rooftop terrace and a city park to create a social, green and sustainable surrounding. read more

HanTing Cuisine The Hague| A menu based on the ‘five seasons’

This month, Michelin restaurant HanTing Cuisine in The Hague launches a new menu that’s all about color: the menu of the five seasons. The five-course menu is a culinary tour through the five seasons. Just as Han Ji’s three previous menus, this menu is also derived from the Chinese Nutritional sciences, Han Ji’s most important information source. You can find this new menu on the restaurant’s menu list from the beginning of June onwards. read more
