PepsiCo – the company behind Pepsi and Tropicana – has unveiled what it claims is the world’s first 100 % plant-based bottle. The pilot production of the new bottle is set to start in 2012, and upon successful completion Pepsi intends to move directly into full-scale production.

March 15, the first e-dining restaurant in the Netherlands opened its doors in Rotterdam. The restaurant, named Izkaya, will serve dishes from various Asian cuisines. In the restaurant you don’t order your food at the waiters but via the touch panel in the table. Using the table you can browse through the different dishes and order food and drinks. You can also change the “tablecloth”, take a look in the kitchen through a webcam, play games and view and ask for the check.
