To approach the shoppers in the British department store Selfridges in London, Moët & Chandon sells mini champagne bottles in a vending machine. The champagne vending machine is located at the Christmas section at the department store. The 200ml bottles cost $29,- and are packed in a gold with crystal packaging. Moët & Chandon wants to make the luxury drink more accessible to a broader audience.

KFC meals on board at Japan Airlines

KFC is a very popular chain in Japan, especially during the Christmas season. Customers traveling in Premium Economy and Economy Class will be served KFC’s Original Recipe two-piece chicken meal. Japan Airlines and KFC have created exclusive packaging for this meal.

The gold flaked Stilton cheese is only produced at Long Clawson Dairy in Leicestershire during the run-up to Christmas. According to the Independent “celebrities are already queuing up to get their hands on some of the swanky Stilton”. The gold flaked Stilton cheese is sold for 608 British pounds a kilo.

Save the polar bear, drink Coca-cola

Coca-cola started a collaboration with the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), to enlarge the awareness for saving the polar bear. Since the polar bear has been Coca-cola’s icon for its Christmas commercials, they want to give something back to their beloved polar bear. Therefore Coca-cola will give their Coca-cola cans a new look by giving them a white colour, instead of red. Coca-cola will also donate 2 million dollars to the WWF in order to help protect the polar bear and its environment.
