AccorHotels counts among the first apps available in France on the Actions on Google platform, which lets brands create applications – known as “Actions” – for Google Assistant. Since October 26, it has therefore been possible to interact with Phil, the AccorHotels bot, using Google Assistant. Suite Novotel opens its doors in the Haagsche Passage in The Hague on 1 Oktober. The long stay concept of Suite Novotel Den Haag City Centre will exist out of 118 suites and will be located in the city center of The Hague nearby the Parliament, numerous embassies, government offices, museums and shops. The suites are suitable as bedroom, living room and as reception area and are equipped with numerous modern facilities.

Time-saving check-in at Accor Hotels

Accor Hotels introduces its newest worldwide online check-in-system where guests will save time during their arrival and departure. After the guest made his booking (via the website, mobile application or phone) he is supposed to check-in online two days before arrival. On the day of arrival the guest will receive a SMS with the room confirmation, practical information and a notification that the key is ready. The guest only has to pick up the key at the reception, to check-out the guest needs to give the key back to the reception and will receive an invoice by email. At the end of 2014 the system will be implemented at more than 30% of the hotels.

With the new search engine ‘Accor Meeting Hotel Finder’ of Accor Hotels, MICE- and meeting planners can search easily for a suitable location for their conference or event. They can search for a location based on the geographical location, type of event, accommodation and hotel segment. When the meeting planner has selected a location they can directly request for an offer or book the location. The search engine has more than 1,000 locations and 10,000 rooms in 90 different countries of which 65% in Europe and 23% in Asia Pacific.

Accor Hotels introduces an iPad-app for the business traveler. The app ‘Away on Business by Accor’ offers business travelers a planning tool and it gives tips. Travelers can book a hotel room at a Accor Hotel through the app, but it also offers suggestions for restaurants and attractions, manages travel costs and you can import and personalize a planning. The app includes practical tools, such as the weather forecast, a map of the public transport and a LinkedIn conncection search in the area.

Pepernoten according to 18th century recipe

Baker Paul Bernsten and food historian Lizet Kruyff reintroduced an ancient recipe of the ‘pepernoot’. Kruyff has shared here experiences with the “pepernoten” online and started a revolution together with baker Brensen. After many trail and errors the “pepernoot” from the 18th century is finished. The “pepernoten” are now available at the website of baker Brentsen.
