In Nantes a French entrepreneur Yann Falquerho came up with a hamster hotel. In the hotel you can experience a hamster life. The hotel rooms look like a hamster cage with bed of straw, giant hamster wheels, hamster food and a fountain with only water.
Bubble lamp

A bubble is brief, and bursts at your touch. But while it lasts, it catches the light and reflects the room like a multi-coloured
temporary structure. Front Design, Nacho Carbonell and Formafantasma created a bubble lamp which works for 50.000 hours. In the time it takes the LED to burn out, the lamp will have had 3 million different globe shades.
Queen’s Day inspiration: orange sushi

In Rotterdam (The Netherlands) the Iizo sushi café prepares a robot to make only orange sushi for Queen’s Day. The sushi will be in orange shells made of soy or have a layer of orange fish eggs.
Hoppit, a new dining-out search engine

Hoppit is the first site which provides a dining-out search engine which filters its results based on the ambience of restaurants. Based in Manhattan and currently available in 25 cities in the US, each restaurant in the Hoppit database is tagged with one of ten “vibes” or types of atmosphere. These include ‘classy & upscale’, ‘hipster’, ‘romantic’ and ‘cozy & quaint’, among others.

New York’s The Pierre hotel and a local plastic surgeon-in-chief Dr. Robert Grant, created a luxury post-operative recovery package. The Pierre Hotel recently underwent a USD 100 million renovation it is now offering woman the luxury and privacy during their recovery. They updated 189 guestrooms and suites as well as the hotel’s banquet and public spaces.

High-end hotels sometimes offer an array of luxury soaps and other personal cleansing items. We haven’t seen the personalization and selection at the level of Mexico’s Viceroy Riviera Maya before. A ‘soap concierge’ at the newly renovated luxury hotel now offers guests a choice of locally made soaps and then hand-cuts bars on the spot from their selections.

Fries as healthy as possible

The fries from NYF are made from select Russet and Russet Burbank potatoes. They leave the skin on for extra flavor and nutrition. The potatoes are cooked in non-hydrogenated (trans fat, cholesterol free) sunflower oil in an unique 3-stage cooking process to create the perfect fry texture hot and crisp on the outside, and light and fluffy on the inside.

In the Tianmashan Mountain (China) the Shanghai Shimao Property Group is building the InterContental Shimao Wonderland, a hotel that’s situated 100 meters below the earth surface. There are three floors above the ground and the other 16 are below. The high-end hotel will open in 2014 or 2015.

the movie yesterday, a great example of showing your menu. We especially liked the dessert in a flowerpot.
