McDonald’s reinvented the shake experience with a new straw
Ever experienced ordering a mixed drink where only one flavor at a time dominated the drink? McDonalds found a solution to this. With the new Chocolate Shamrock Shake, available during Shamrock season, McDonalds challenged itself by reinventing the shake experience.
McDonald’s its Chocolate Shamrock Shake
This month, McDonalds America changed the world (of shake-drinking) with a limited-edition straw. They introduced the STRAW (Suction Tube for Reverse Axial Withdrawal) who works best while enjoying the Chocolate Shamrock Shake, one of McDonalds new seasonal McCafé beverages. The shake has dual layers of delicious chocolate shake below a Shamrock Shake. This new recipe gave McDonald’s a unique challenge to reinvent the shake experience, the challenge to deliver the ideal flavor ratio of 50% chocolate and 50% mint in each sip instead of enjoying each flavor separately with a normal straw (check out the video as well)
The reinvented straw
Due to the STRAW’s unique design, only 2,000 were produced for Shamrock season. The straw will be available in select participating restaurants with the purchase of a Chocolate Shamrock Shake. Are you going to visit America soon and would love to have one of these straws? Than find out here where and when you can get them. Be quick as the Shamrock Chocolate offerings and the straws are only available for a limited time.
The new collection of beverages at McCafé
Three other mint and chocolate flavored McCafé beverages also available for a limited time; the Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappé, the Shamrock Mocha and the Shamrock Hot Chocolate.
In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and as part of Shamrock season, McDonald’s will donate $.25 from each McCafé Shamrock Chocolate beverage purchased to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) during the week of March 11-17.
