Liemès Food District Utrecht
LIEMÈS Food District is the place to be for business appointments, while shopping or for a snack on the go. In this centrally located food hall in shopping center The Wall in Utrecht, different chefs cook their dishes from around the world and bartenders shake their top cocktails. Liemès is a food district like you’ve never seen before.
Foodhall meets restaurant, streetfood meets à la carte: at Liemès you take a seat at one of the set tables and order from the food stands and the bar using a QR. The hospitable staff then serves your order(s) at your table. They don’t use disposables at Liemès, everything is served on tableware. This enhances the eating experience and is more sustainable.
In August 2020 we wrote about the Liemès Food District, it was supposed to open that autumn. We wish the entrepreneurs the best of luck and let’s hope there will not be more COVID-19 measures!

Liemès Food District | Restaurant-level food hall
Liemès is for everyone who loves good food and drink. There is a choice of various cuisines from around the world, where independent entrepreneurs and chefs create the most delicious dishes. The exhibitors are selected on the use of fresh products and quality: what goes on the plates must be at restaurant level. The mix of cuisines is also important. At Liemès you can find, among other things, Spanish-Argentine, Japanese, Italian and Vietnamese cuisine. You can order real Spanish tapas at Alziseño. Chef Alex lovingly prepares typical Spanish-Argentine dishes; from fresh aioli to Iberico Secreto. Under the roof of Liemès you can also experience the streets and markets of Vietnam. For example, ĂnĂn prepares street food with the rich flavours of Saigon. Simple, but packed with flavour and something for everyone. The menu includes dumplings and curries, spring rolls and bao. From Vietnam, we travel on to Japan. Torii Sushi serves up a little piece of Japan in every bite. From classics like sashimi and nigiri to inside-out rolls with soft-shell crab. For burgers, head to Master Burgers and real Italian is at Barbatella.
What’s in the glasses is also high-end. The (non-alcoholic) cocktails are shaken behind professional cocktail stations, the table water is from Marie-Stella-Maris, the coffee from Illy and the loose tea from Senza Tea Co. There is an extensive wine, cocktail and beer list – including low-alcohol and non-alcoholic varieties that will allow you to get back behind the wheel with peace of mind.
