Karma Kebab opens new restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam
Good news for all kebab lovers! As of September 27th, Karma Kebab has a restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam at the Leidsekruisstraat 10. After the success of its flagship store in Utrecht, and previous pop-ups at well-known spots like ‘Pong House of Ping’ and ‘De Marktkantine’, Karma Kebab has now officially opened its doors in the capital of The Netherlands. Known of festivals such as Lowlands, Karma Kebab is ready to conquer the capital with their plant-based and tasty kebabs.

The taste of plant-based Karma Kebab
This new hotspot serves everything from kebab in sourdough pitas, which are already famous, to loaded fries, snack splatters and, of course, their beloved homemade garlic sauce. ‘Kebab has a rich history, but is often seen as a quick, greasy late night snack. That’s a shame, because kebab has a rich, culinary history,’ says founder Pascal Labrie. ‘At Karma Kebab, we give the dish a modern, plant-based twist, inspired by traditions from around the world.’
From festivals to the city
Karma Kebab once started as a bold festival food truck, but has since grown into a food brand with permanent locations. After opening their first restaurant in Utrecht back in 2022, it is now Amsterdam’s turn. Whether you fancy lunch, dinner or a quick snack while going out, Karma Kebab is in a convenient central location for locals and nightlife. ‘We have big plans for the future, but will always stay true to our roots: good food, good flirting and of course a little dance,’ says Labrie.
Good Karma and good food
It’s a brand that consciously refrains from terms like sustainability and vegan, but knows exactly what they are doing behind the scenes. As such, it is probably the first and only B Corp-certified kebab brand in the world. This means that not only the dishes are tasting delicious, but everything at the back end is also well organised with an eye on the future of the planet and care for the people they work with. ‘Good Karma is not just in the taste,’ Labrie explains. ‘We want to show that you can make a difference with a bit of creativity as well as responsibility.’
