Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam | The latest hotel developments
On March 16 and 17 you can get acquainted with the latest developments in the hotel industry during the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam. For example, you can see the following developments: a personal hologram that welcomes you in the lobby, recyclable bath slippers, bactericidal design wallpaper, but also a complete work-out station in the form of an interactive mirror for the hotel room.
The Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam takes place for the second time in RAI Amsterdam. The event, which has been organized in London since 2012, focuses among others on the independent hotelier from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In addition to London and Amsterdam, the Independent Hotel Show will also be held in Miami this year. During the event, the corona measures in force at that time will be observed. Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam in the RAI on March 16 and 17
For two days, a carefully selected group of 200 suppliers will present the latest hotel products and services. The Independent Hotel Show aims at inspiring and informing the hotelier how he can optimize his company and the guest experience. The ’boutique fair’ mainly focuses on the owners and management of independent and luxury hotels, but the ‘independent thinking’ hotelier of larger hotel companies is also very welcome. In The Concept Lab, among others, they get a taste of the future for the hotel industry. From voice-controlled curtains to a smart service button and biodegradable coffee cups. Trend tours are also given to highlight the most important developments and there is an impressive program with 25 seminars. During the lectures, the diverse, current themes within the hotel industry are discussed. Check out the trends in the video below, the text continues below the video.
Looking forward
Mieke Berkers of the Independent Hotel Show: “After a difficult period, we see that hoteliers want to look ahead and need more than ever to be inspired. They want to know how to run their business in a rapidly changing world. Last year we listened carefully to what exactly they need and we try to respond to this as well as possible with a nice list of companies and speakers. Much attention is paid to themes such as recruiting, retaining and training staff, the mental health of employees and we try to paint a picture of what the travel world will look like in the coming years. And specialists will tell you how you can distinguish yourself from your competition, what the guest expects of the future and how you can protect your brand online.”
Design
“Besides providing information and inspiration, there is a lot of room for networking. After all these months, hoteliers are also very happy to meet colleagues. We have created various places for this, where hoteliers can meet each other in tranquility and safety.” This is amongst others possible at the Social Business Space, the Do Not Disturb Café designed by WeWantMore and The Suite & The Lobby designed by interior designer Roelfen Vos. Mieke Berkers: “We see that guests are finding design increasingly important. That is why we also show what is happening in the field of design during the Independent Hotel Show.”
