House of Bols | A tribute to the cocktail
After ten successful years the award-winning House of Bols reopens with a total new experience: a tribute to the cocktail. The art of taste comes alive in a new multisensory experience. The exciting tour brings more than four centuries of craftsmanship alive which comes together in a perfect cocktail made by yourself or a Bols bartender.
Flavour comes alive at House of Bols
House of Bols takes you on a spectacular journey through the history of worlds’ oldest distillery brand Bols, the art of distilling liquors and jenever (Dutch gin) and you learn how to make cocktails yourself. The new ‘Art of Flavour’ experience is sensational. In three cabins they visualize flavours and a unique flavour experience will allow you to taste, feel, hear and see flavours.
Museum with a sense of nightlife
Most museums have a bar, but this bar has a spectacular ‘museum’. The past and present are explained via cocktails and you can learn to make cocktails in the new ‘Do it Yourself bar’. After the tour you can enjoy a cocktail prepared by a professional bartender in the ‘Mirror Bar’.

Just as ten years ago ‘The art of Mixing & Blending’ was chosen as design to create a space where old & new, analog & digital, past & future, business & product come together. The contemporary design celebrates the cocktail culture and international nightlife: ‘a museum with a zest of nightlife’.
House of Bols is celebrating with everybody
In honor of the opening of the new House of Bols, all visitors visiting the museum before the 5th of March 2017 will receive an additional cocktail next to the free cocktail included with the tour. House of Bols is located at Paulus Potterstraat 14, Amsterdam (opposite of the Van Gogh Museum).
