The hotel that once accommodated guests’ last night in the Netherlands before they left for America, embraces American traditions in its hotel concept. Therefore, during Halloween Hotel Amerika becomes the Haunted Hotel of Horror. From October 28 until October 31 guests can enjoy a terrifying stay. From dinner with bloody burgers and chopped fingertips, to a bloodcurdling ‘ghost tour’ and a terrifying overnight stay in the completely transformed ghost hotel. One thing is certain: this will be a stay you will never forget!

Chills running down your spine
Soon you will no longer recognize the bistro, the lobby and the hotel rooms of Hotel Amerika. During Halloween, they are completely transformed and form the backdrop of the Haunted Hotel of Horror. During Halloween, the monumental townhouse is transformed into a haunted hotel. Some evenings the restaurant will offer a ‘scary tasting’, with bloody burgers, severed fingertips and terrifying cocktails. After dinner there is a special ‘ghost tour’ for all guests. You can only safely leave the hotel or enter your room after this tour. Whoever thought the quarantine was over, makes a shocking discovery in this haunted hotel. There is no festive atmosphere here, you will be surrounded by a deadly atmosphere. Hollow eye sockets stare at you. Chills run down your spine. You walk straight into a scene of a horror movie. Forgotten hotel guests who’s lives ended in Hotel Amerika transformed this place into a Haunted Hotel of Horror.
Year of horror
Linda Geers, Managing Director at Hotel Amerika, says: “After a horror year of quarantine and closed doors, we thought it was a fitting idea to continue this theme with Halloween. Since we’ve been associated with America for over a century, we’d love to be inspired by how they celebrate this holiday. America is progressive when it comes to celebrating special moments like baby showers, Halloween and Thanksgiving. These moments are also increasingly celebrated in the Netherlands. We notice that our guests respond very well to the opportunities we offer them. In any case, as a team, we are really looking forward to the special Halloween evening that we have in store for our guests.”
Do you dare to spend the night?
It is also possible to stay overnight for those who dare. The Haunted Hotel of Horror can be seen right into the rooms. Monsters under your bed or inside the closet are some of the possibilities when you book a room. The special Halloween packages can be booked from Thursday 28 October to Sunday 31 October 2021. There are two dinner shifts per evening: one at 17:00 and one at 20:00. You can book a hotel stay plus dinner (excluding drinks) for two persons starting at €230. Dinner costs €55 excluding drinks. The special ghost tour is offered to all guests.
