Microcosm of city life | Founder coffeecompany starts new coffee adventure
As of September 1st, Amsterdam has a new coffee hotspot and meeting place. The goal? To create a microcosm of vibrant city life, where every cup of coffee and every conversation contributes to the rich tapestry of life. With several decades of experience and knowledge, Bekkema is excited about this new step and determined to create something beautiful. The interior was designed by TANK /Interior Design Agency, known among other things for their work in the A’DAM tower, Hotel Arena, Headquarters Adyen, and many other special projects. The opening of the first branch in Amsterdam is just the beginning, as expansion is already on the cards. Barcelona and Rotterdam are at the top of the list for future expansion.
A new way of franchising
With CoffeeHouse, Bekkema aims to replicate his previous formula worldwide by offering an accessible low-fixed-budget franchise model. CoffeeHouse focuses on providing the best coffee, but also offers more freedom and very broad creative support. In doing so, it breaks from the restrictive terms and high franchise fees that are standard in traditional franchise contracts.
About CoffeeHouse
CoffeeHouse is a coffee franchise with its first location in Amsterdam. Owner Rick Bekkema will continue to work with CoffeeHouse to create vibrant and welcoming coffee experiences in major cities worldwide. Because Bekkema has been both a franchisor and franchisee, he knows all the pain points and thus has gone out of his way to create a model that is super-scalable, without the need for an expensive headquarters. With a focus on ethical and entrepreneurial franchising, social contributions and high-quality products, the new coffee concept aims to expand globally and provide colourful coffee moments to coffee lovers around the world. Opening of the second branch in Barcelona later this year is already in the works.
