This Summer, Hertfordshire hotel and spa, The Grove will launch a host of seasonal experiences as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations, one of them being Feast on Cloud 9. We love the idea of the balloons in the garden of hotel The Grove, very picturesque. Here in the Netherlands we have chef Angélique Schmeinck who creates the most delicious dishes in real hot balloons at CuliAir Sky Dining. For those who love to have the images of eating in a hot air balloon but who chickens out of the real experience, Feast on Cloud 9 is much more appropriate. 🙂

Feast on Cloud 9 | Part of the 20^th anniversary celebrations

Set to be a firm favourite with families and groups of friends alike, Feast on Cloud 9 will see a range of enchanting, hand-crafted hot air balloons with vintage-style wicker dining baskets assume their position by the water exhibit in the Formal Garden beside the Mansion. The balloons, seating between four and six guests, will be available each day from 9 June – 3 September 2023 for both afternoon tea as well as a nine-course gourmet tasting menu and accompanying children’s menu.  Using ingredients freshly picked from Jemima’s Kitchen Garden, culinary highlights include Roast aubergine fillet with truffle mashed potato and wild mushrooms; Spinach, courgette and goats cheese pithivier and Rossini-style fillet of beef, truffle mash potato, chicken liver parfait, roasted shallot, truffle jus.
