Domino’s® is Plowing for Pizza | Snowy roads shouldn’t get in the way of hot pizza
As an innovative response to winter snow challenges, Domino’s Pizza in America is introducing the campaign, ‘Plowing for Pizza’. This particular initiative aims to ensure that, even under harsh winter conditions, hot pizza delivery will continue in certain zip code areas. The philosophy behind it: by contributing to snowplows from 20 cities, Domino’s Pizza is contributing to the ability to deliver quickly in wintry weather. In America, local businesses also often contribute to bits of road maintenance.

In 2018, Domino’s Pizza did a similar campaign called ‘Paving for Pizza’ through which they gave a donation to repair road surfaces in the states of Florida and New York. The company called on fans to report bad road surfaces on the website pavingforpizza.com so that they could start repairing it, allowing their pizzas to be delivered without damage.

Starting last week, customers can enter their zip code on the ‘Plowing for Pizza’ website to nominate up to 20 cities, each of which can receive a $25,000 cash prize for snow removal. The nomination period is open from Dec. 4, 2023, – Jan. 21, 2024, and is limited to one submission per email address. You must be 13 years of age or older to submit your zip code. Check out the terms and conditions here.
Domino’s Pizza has already worked alongside three municipalities to help their plowing efforts this winter season, including Erie, Pennsylvania, Marquette, Michigan and Manhattan, Montana. Twenty communities that accept their award will not only get funds to pay for clearing snow on wintry days, they will also get a winter-themed Domino’s Plowing for Pizza kit, including winter hats, scarves, snow measuring stick and sign, vehicle magnets and other themed items, including $200 in Domino’s gift cards, so plow drivers can warm up with hot pizza after a cold, hard day of work. The chosen municipalities will be listed on the Plowing for Pizza website, which will also feature images and footage from the plowing locations.
