Nobu Hospitality continues strategic European expansion with the announcement of Nobu Hotel Madrid, again in a long-term agreement with Millenium Hospitality Real Estate SOCIMI (“MHRE”).

A list of special food bikes and food tricycles

In the Netherlands we cycle a lot and who is not familiar with the bike from which ice cream is sold? Or a coffee bike in a hiking area? But there are many more bicycles from which oysters, cocktails, fries, smoothies, cotton candy, cheese, churros and pizzas are sold. There are a number of professional food bike rental companies, but we also know a number of enthusiastic one-man businesses such as the ‘Oyster bike’ of Jolijn Géboers in Amsterdam and the ‘Cocktail bike’ of Niels den Boogert. With the summer approaching, a list of ‘food bikes’ and ‘food tricycles’! Maybe time for a small-scale food bike / food tricycles festival instead of a food truck festival? And then a joint work-out from the Bakfiets Gym afterwards!

We spotted a Starbucks all-you-can-eat buffet at the Starbucks Reserve Ginza Marronnier-dori store in Japan. And we never heard of the Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza but it makes its long-awaited return in May!

Wendy’s® is teaming up with creators in Meta’s Horizon Worlds to make (virtual) dreams come true with the grand opening of the Wendyverse™ in Horizon Worlds on April 2. Virtual reality becomes reality as Wendyverse™ gives fans all-new 3D opportunities to virtually interact with each other and the brand – as only Wendy’s can.
Another brand that seeks the Metaverse, recently we read that McDonald’s USA also has plans in that direction.

Some openings: The Big Mamma Group will open Giorgia Trattoria in Munich this summer and today (March 28) the fourth Gucci Osteria will open in Seoul. In Berlin the new Café Camaleon opened, it’s an all-day casual dining concept at the Casa Camper Berlin. Camper is a famous shoe concept from Spain.
Come 2025, the way Parisians commute will change with the launch of Câble 1, Paris‘ first urban cable car. The new 4.5-kilometer line will connect suburbs in the city’s southeast to the Metro system. And a link to great images of the high-end breakfast all day concept in Berlin: Frühstück 3000.
Starbucks and Volvo will build an EV charging network from the Colorado Rockies to their Support Center in Seattle. And Portland in Oregon will get the first sports bar dedicated to women’s games: The Sports Bra.
Inspiration for the National Pancake Day on March 18 in the Netherlands

While in America and England the date for the annual Pancake Day coincides with Mardi Gras (fat Tuesday after Carnival, the evening before fasting starts) and Shrove Day, we here in the Netherlands celebrate our National Pancake Day on March 18 2022. Because the dates differ, owners of pancake restaurants can use inspiration from the pancake days in England and the USA! Our colleague Jesse Oldenburg has created a list of inspiring promotions and tasty pancake recipes! If your pancake restaurant has a cool initiative for pancake day, we would love to hear it, but we also like to hear if you picked up one of the initiatives below!
