Yamagoya | Launches the raindrop cake in London

From 15th May, Fah Sundravorakul, Co-Founder of Yamagoya, the ramen pop-up on Shaftsbury Avenue, will bring the Raindrop Cake to London for the first time, adding just 20 to the menu each day. Inspired by the cult Japanese dish, mizu shingen mochi and made in the shape of a water droplet, Yamagoya’s recipe has been carefully developed to produce a crystal clear cake, made from special agar powder which can only be found in Japan to give clarity and served with a sticky sweet molasses syrup (Kuromitsu) and kinako; roasted soybean flour for dipping. lees verder

After last year’s ice-skating area and the curling sheet on the rooftop of the hotel this winter, Floor17 will organize something special again this spring: sleeping in a transparent air-bubble. From the 12th of May till the 10th of June you it’s possible to sleep under the stars on Floor17’s 85 meters high rooftop. The special hotel room is designed by popular online design brand MADE.com. BCE Bowling introduces a new product to the Dutch bowling market: The mobile bowling alley. The mobile alley consists of loose parts and can be installed in a day. Roof East in East London will be re-opening on the 4th of May for weekday evenings and weekends. This car-park rooftop summer spot is returning for its fourth year. It’s going to host a rooftop rollerdisco (#rooftoprollers at Roof East), a baseball batting cage club, and hip-hop inspired pétanque from De La Bowl. Oh, and crazy golf! Last week the first pop-up Negroni bar in Antwerp, Belgium opened. From the 30th of March until the 23th of April, you can enjoy this cocktail that consists of gin, vermouth and Campari in Martini Caffè Torino. Caffè Torino, previously opened the first pop-up vermoutbar in Belgium at the Oude Beestenmarkt in Ghent. They will only serve Negroni’s at this pop-up bar. lees verder

Wiedewietsaus | Biologic cannabis sauce

The Ter Marsch & Co pop-up burger bar in Amsterdam exists one year, time to celebrate! To do so, a special burger and fries sauce called ‘Wiedewietsaus’ has been developed. The biologic cannabis-infused mayonnaise is an ode to the Dutch and Amsterdam weed culture. The Wiedewietsaus is served in three hospitality businesses of the Ter Marsch family. This April Fools’ Day joke was so successful that they will be selling the Wiedewietsauce as from the end of this month.  lees verder

Spring 2017 the new hospitality concept Hofhouse, located next to the central station of The Hague, will open its doors. Hofhouse is situated on the ground floor of the new flexible government office Rijnstraat 8, during the year several government departments will move to this location. The architecture and interior of this sensational building is designed by the renowned architects of OMA by Rem Koolhaas. Hofhouse is inspired by a veranda and will be the hospitality lobby of The Hague. The exploitation of Hofhouse is managed by ISS Facility Service. The project has been guided by our colleagues of Van Spronsen & Partners hospitality consultants, they are responsible for the concept and the recruitment of the hospitality entrepreneurs. lees verder
