De keuken van restaurant SoignéNice initiative of restaurant Soigné in Bussum (the Netherlands) and wine merchant Petit Clos (located in Bussum, Laren and Utrecht). Together they organise a special wine tasting in restaurant Soigné on Wednesday the 29th and Thursday the 30th of June. On these days the restaurant will serve its new 4-course menu Soigné for the first time, at the same time they let their guests decide which wines will be on the wine pairing menu! lees verder
Inspiration from a local festival from Rotterdam. This weekend is the first weekend of Stoepmakers Oostplein (stoep means sidewalk, maker means maker. Stoepmakers is even in Dutch a non-existing word). The program is created by the residents and businesses in the neighbourhood. As of the 16th of June, everyone is welcome at the temporary artfully designed Oostplein. There will be monthly activities. Stoepmakers Oostplein ends on the 16th of September during Parking Day. lees verder

This alarm clock will probably be a present from heaven for a lot of people. Imagine an alarm clock and coffee maker in one on your nightstand! The ‘Barisieur’ wakes you up with a cup of freshly made coffee. The project is on Kickstarter and has, today, only 11 days more to go. Maybe an investment for bigger hotel chains? Wouldn’t it be great to offer your guests a wakeup call with freshly made coffee?
The Efteling is currently busy building a new holiday park with special accommodations above, on and under the ground. They are building the accommodations on the borders of nature reserve area ‘Loonsche Land’ and from today on it’s possible to book your stay! You still need to be patient for a little while, since the park is opening by mid-2017. lees verder

Last Tuesday restaurant HanTing (1 Michelinstar) in The Hague tackled a world’s first. As the first restaurant in the world Michelin chef Han Ji launched an innovative Tea Menu. With each dish a matching and different tea was served, which, in combination with the food, has a positive effect on the human body. We tasted this Tea Menu! lees verder
Introduced for the Dutch hospitality industry, OERS, Ons Eigen Reserverings Systeem (Our Own Reservation System). OERS is a new online booking system which has been launched festively on the 9th of May by chef Alain Caron at Restaurant Aan de Poel. The system is different; each participating restaurant owner is co-owner of the system and automatically become member of the cooperative OERS. This allows restaurant owners to decide themselves on the terms and commissions. Where other reservation systems will only become more expensive in the future, OERS will become cheaper. lees verder
