On the 1st of November fresh and healthy food restaurant chain Eazie launches a campaign where ‘giving’ is the main subject. Everyone who orders an ‘Eazie giving’ menu receives a QR-ticket and can win great prizes. For Eazie this is a way to thank their community in the weeks before Thanksgiving. The prizes are provided by the partners of Eazie. Two tickets to Bangkok are provided by Wereldtickets.nl, a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses by Zonnebrillen.com and a custom made bike by the Swedish Bikebyme are a few examples.
Ron Blaauw turns into pink

Specially for the Pink Ribbon campaign, two Michelin star chef Ron Blaauw transformed his restaurant into Ron Roze (pink) during this week. One eighth of the total revenue of this week will be donated to the foundation. The campaign of the Pink Ribbon Foundation, which runs from the 18th of October until the 18th of November, fights against breast cancer in the Netherlands. Although the restaurant turns pink for a week, the menu will stay the same.
Restaurant In de Olie opened her doors

Last Friday cafe-restaurant ‘In de Olie’ opened her doors officially in Amsterdam. The cafe offers a menu of finger food and tapas, such as Spanish and Italian sausages, manchego cheese and marinated pulpo. The dinner menu consists of a wide range of Mediterranean dishes, like lamb tajine and fish dishes, served with authentic vegetable side-dishes. Also, the restaurant offers several Spanish, Italian and Greek oils, which you can take home bottled. Every Thursday and Friday between 17.00 and 19.00 hrs you can visit ‘In de Olie’ for a ‘Aperitivo’, to enjoy a small bite and drink, whilst enjoying a DJ. Each Sunday afternoon ‘Tapas & Tunes’ takes place; a podium with changing live performances.

Last Sunday the 25th edition of the 4 Miles of Groningen was organized. Afterwards, ‘Café de Koffer’ organized massage-sessions in the café, to massage away the coming muscles ache. A nice way to pamper your guests!

Restaurants help casualties hurricane

Hurricane Irene has done a lot of damage in the state of New York. Many farmers lost their harvest. To help these farmers and other casualties of the hurricane, over 100 restaurants in New York have donated 10% of their day revenue last Sunday. These revenues were donated to a charity fund that helps casualties from the hurricane Irene.
This Weekend Foodlab 2020 in Rotterdam
