S.Pellegrino® Destination Dining | A culinary series exchanging iconic dishes between world-famous restaurants
12-8-2021
S.Pellegrino® Sparkling Natural Mineral Water’s Destination Dining program returns this fall with an expanded series to connect more communities through culinary cultural immersion, one dish at a time. S.Pellegrino has partnered with restaurants across the U.S. and Latin America — in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and New York, and internationally in Argentina, Brazil, Panama and Peru — to exchange their most iconic dishes, bringing a taste of a new community to food lovers.
It remains a nice idea to swap places for a short period of time, as has been happening for years at the Grand Gelinaz, or to work together in a different way. The nice thing about S. Pellegrino® Destination Dining is that it fits in perfectly within this period, the chefs create each other’s dishes. I imagine that you could taste vegetable dishes from Alain Passard at a restaurant of a chef in the Netherlands. Many foodies must be enthusiastic about that, right? You can also do this locally like the 010/020 dinners, get your local press involved and create a buzz. ^Marjolein

Dutch hospitality, quality and accessibility from the region Achterhoek for a large audience. That is what the Horeca Inspiratie Maatschappij (HIM+) stands for, the parent organization of various food and hotel concepts in the region Achterhoek. The group gives national monuments from the region a new, connecting function as a meeting place where contemporary enjoyment is the key issue. The group recently expanded with the acquisition of Hotel de Wereld (Hotel The World) and the opening of the brand new boutique hotel Villa Wanrooy. In addition, HIM+ is fully committed to sustainable and circular catering concepts, of which the Green Michelin star obtained in March 2021 at restaurant Lokaal in Villa Ruimzicht is a direct result.

Disclaimer this article is more interesting for Dutchies.
Opening – A wonderful evening out in a contemporary Japanese restaurant where you can choose from classics and new creations from a well-known chef. As from October residents of Zeist in the Netherlands can visit the new urban sushi restaurant Sushi San. The place is uniquely decorated with a combination of modern design and traditional Japanese elements such as large wooden columns, rice paper lamps and drawings of koi carp. Both small and large groups will soon enjoy an exclusive all you can dine concept here.
This Japanese hotspot in Zeist will also work with robots that will support their staff. The fact that the robots are really not going to replace the employees is apparent from the advertisement on their website in which they are looking for employees. We are curious about the robots!

Restaurant AROMA will probably open in September, we wish the chef, Elisa and Jan Leune lots of success at this special location. Judging by the experience of Pasquale Carfora, gained, among other restaurants in restaurant La Pergola (***) in the Hilton Waldorf Astoria in Rome, the Netherlands is getting a top culinary Italian restaurant. We’re curious! And if you are still looking for a job in the kitchen or waiting staff, they are still looking for people.

MOOY Bakery in Antwerp | Your ‘stairways to sweet treat heaven’
3-8-2021
Disclaimer: this article is more interesting for Dutchies and those living in Belgium.
Opening in Antwerp – With MOOY Bakery, the popular pink lunch spot ‘MOOY Food & Drinks’ is introducing a completely new concept across the street from the current store. Here they serve milkshakes, cupcakes, cake slices and fancy sweet & savory toasts! All sweet tooths can gather here! Owner Yana Lamon starts with one establishment, with the aim of being able to expand it later or even develop it as a franchise concept. The stairway to sweet treat heaven? You can climb it from this summer at the Lombardenvest 33 in Antwerp.
Looking at the images, the concept reminds us a bit of the very popular and Instagrammable EL&N cafes in London. And if MOOY Bakery will be as busy as this chain is in London, it can expand quickly! Nice to visit if you go shopping with friends in Antwerp. The cake slices look deliciously sweet!
