- People’s Captain is a special beer brand in the UK that supports positive mental health in the country. They’re brewing positivity.
- We love to follow news around lab-grown meat and we read that the UK is the first European country to approve putting lab-grown meat in pet food. It will be done by Meatly.
- Spotted on Instagram, Fruttini. They produces artisanal frosted fruit in Paris. It looks delicious!
- It’s croissant time again, we spotted a new one: the Cröner. Turkish kebab and the croissant meet to create the ultimate kebab. Sold at Cio’s Grill & Kebab in Vienna.
- ‘Inspired by KM’, Kylian Mbappé and Accor forge alliance to empower younger generations.
- For those who love to play a game of ping pong, you should try Tipong Sport, created in France!
- Great name swap: pickles festival Picklesburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! We know that they love pickles in the US but we wonder if Europeans would fancy pickle shaved ice, pickle tots or pickle cheesesteak.
- After a redesign the Asian restaurant Mr. Sam will reopen this month in Amsterdam.
- Earlier we wrote about the introduction of the German app NeoTaste in Amsterdam, they’re now expanding to many more Dutch cities. They have a lot of restaurants offering special culinary benefits in Amsterdam and Rotterdam for example.
- Pasquale Carfora, chef of Aroma Italian Fine Dining Restaurant in the small Dutch town of Vaassen, is named winner of the renowned Primo dei Campi competition in Italy.
- Chiel Dohmen, owner of restaurant By Chiel in Zutphen, has been awarded the prestigious Gerrit de Kiewit Trophy of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Nederland.

The Pulitzer Amsterdam will be the setting for a magical, musical evening on Sunday September 8th, with an intimate garden concert with Lucas & Arthur Jussen, the renowned piano brothers. In the courtyard garden of the Pulitzer Amsterdam, surrounded by the hotel’s 25 historic canal houses, they will amaze with their masterful outdoor piano playing.

- A sustainability focused food wholesaler for restaurants in London, Collectiv Food, created a new way of delivery, cutting emissions by 75% compared to competitors.
- State of Play Hospitality, an operator of tech-enhanced social entertainment concepts, signs lease to open a flagship ‘Flight Club’ in Manhattan, NYC.
- Croicheese or cheesecake croissant anybody?

- Ruby Hotels opened their 19th location, in Florence, Italy. Ruby Bea Hotel is located in the same building as Ruby Dante Workspaces.

Restobar Vista Rotterdam opened by the owners of Vista Willemstad

Opening – Ingrid and Henrie van der Heijden opened Restobar Vista in Rotterdam on July 15th 2024. It’s the second restaurant of the couple, who also own Michelin star restaurant Vista in Willemstad. Guests at Restobar Vista Rotterdam dine with a unique view over the water of the Nieuwe Maas river, the Erasmus Bridge and the skyline of Rotterdam. The new establishment is run by chef Kimmo Geus and hostess Nikki Bijtenhoorn.

- From Wok to Walk to Wok to Dine: the chain has opened their sixth Amsterdam branch in the Pijp area. Here you can go for to-go wok dishes but you can also dine more elaborately.

Located at 22 Park Lane, on the former site of Trader Vic, MR PORTER’s slightly ambiguous and flavourful cuisine translates into pure and intriguing dishes. It is their fourth location after, Amsterdam, Barcelona and a pop-up in Ibiza.
