Renewed Miffy’s museum with a Miffy’s museum café opens this summer

On Miffy’s (Nijntje in Dutch) birthday, Wednesday June 21 2023, the renewed Miffy (Nijntje) museum in Utrecht will open. After a major renovation, the museum has almost doubled in size and features a Miffy’s museum café, a 360-degree film experience and new themed areas.

Sixth edition National Week Without Meat & Dairy

Today, March 6, marked the start of the sixth edition of the Dutch National Week Without Meat & Dairy. Since the last edition, dairy has been added to the campaign, now a permanent feature. The campaign invites the whole of the Netherlands to take up the challenge to become aware of the positive climate impact of eating less meat and dairy in a positive and inspiring way. This is the week in which the Netherlands learns how easy and delicious eating without meat and dairy can be. After a record number of participants during the last edition, this year has many participants too, like supermarkets, producers, schools, petrol stations, student associations and ministries are joining this initiative.

Innovative French cuisine with subtle Greek influences at restaurant Elea in The Hague

Opening – Restaurant Elea in The Hague. Hostess Bibi Kuyp and chef Takis Panagakis opened the doors of their fine-dining restaurant on the Noordeinde in the city, previously their restaurant was located in Rijswijk. A stone’s throw from the Palace Noordeinde, they serve their creative, modern cuisine with subtle Greek influences.
We’ve already had the pleasure to enjoy the Greek influences on chef Takis Panagakis’ innovative French cuisine and the enthusiasm of hostess Bibi Kuyp’s team (especially when it comes to Greek wines) so we can definitely recommend a visit to restaurant Elea in The Hague!
Oleato | the new coffee ritual by Starbucks

Starbucks recently unveiled a transformational innovation in coffee, Oleato – a line of coffee beverages that brings together the unexpected – Starbucks arabica coffee deliciously infused with a spoonful of Partanna cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil. The result is velvety smooth, delicately sweet and lush coffee that uplifts each cup with an extraordinary new flavor and texture. The new beverage platform which launched in Starbucks stores in Italy on Feb. 22, includes: Oleato™ Caffè Latte, Oleato™ Iced Shaken Espresso and Oleato™ Golden Foam™ Cold Brew. Followed by California in the USA this spring and later by Japan, the Middle East and the UK.
This new product by Starbucks made us think of Bulletproof Coffee we spotted a couple of years ago, although this is made with butter and some ‘Brain Octane oil’. We most certainly are going to try the new coffee ritual at Starbucks when we go to Italy this May.
