UK’s biggest ever coffee cup recycling scheme | London’s Square Mile Challenge

London’s Square Mile Challenge aims to recycle half a million cups in April. Caffeine-fuelled workers in the City of London are being urged to use brand new recycling points established across the Square Mile as part of the UK’s biggest push to date to tackle the issue of disposable coffee cup recycling. According to us, an initiative worth following in major cities!

A food experience where over thousand people can experience the taste of Amsterdam. From residents to tourists, commuters to foodies.
Mr Fogg’s | London’s hidden cocktail location

Mr Fogg’s arrived in Mayfair, London in the summer of 2013. A recreation of the actual home of Jules Verne’s most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg. Modelled on the very Mayfair house, the bar is refined but at the same time truly off-the-wall, breathing liveliness and fun into the West End. Guests are able to encounter all the wonders of the world without setting foot outside of London. Mr Fogg’s home is well-hidden down a small side street off Berkeley Square thus maintaining an element of secrecy.
Caffè Torino | First pop up Negroni bar in Belgium

Last week the first pop-up Negroni bar in Antwerp, Belgium opened. From the 30th of March until the 23th of April, you can enjoy this cocktail that consists of gin, vermouth and Campari in Martini Caffè Torino. Caffè Torino, previously opened the first pop-up vermoutbar in Belgium at the Oude Beestenmarkt in Ghent. They will only serve Negroni’s at this pop-up bar.
Poesiat & Kater | Beer&Bite tasting at one of the former biggest breweries in the Netherlands

Van Vollenhoven’s beer brewery ‘De Gekroonde Valk’ used to be the biggest brewery in the Netherlands. Last month, Van Vollenhoven’s’ successor opened in Amsterdam: brewery and tasting room Poesiat & Kater. The traditional and historic beers from Van Vollenhoven will be served here as well as a selection of Poesiat & Kater’s own developed beers. The food on the menu is tailored to the beers which makes it an interesting place for those who love beer and food-combinations, a small ‘Beer&Bite’ tasting is also a fun option.
Tequila cloud | Hey, Visit Mexico it rains a lot in the Netherlands as well!

While most the tourism videos draw attention to beautiful beaches, impressive views and warm weather, Tourism Board Visit Mexico went for an outside-the-box- approach. In order to attract more German tourists to Mexico, Visit Mexico and ad agency Lapiz designed a tequila cloud, a cloud that rains tequila. For some of the tequila lovers, their dream came true.

vandeStreek beer brewed the first alcohol-free IPA in the Netherlands. Nowadays, a lot of people love to drink alcohol-free beer (last year we consumed a whopping 18% more of alcohol-free beer in the Netherlands), but a real good and tasty alcohol-free IPA we haven’t seen yet. From now onwards, you can drink an alcohol-free IPA and drive or go the gym. The brewery is working at their Playground beer series and the IPA is one of them. It’s a limited edition, once the beer gets successful more will be brewed.
