Times Square to become open air museum

 A group of Dutch designers and art lovers launched an initiative to turn Times Square into Art Square. For one day, they want to replace all advertisements on billboards by the art from the world’s most famous museums. The project should be financed by crowd funding, and achieved in 2012.

Due to a design contest in London, visitors of the city can now sleep on the roof of the Southbank Centre. Guests can sleep in a temporary one-bedroom apartment. The winning design was created by David Kohn Architects.

To make a Norwegian village more attractive for tourists, an international contest was set up. The  Swedish architect company Jägnefält Milton came up with the idea to use the existing railway for riding hotelrooms.  The rooms do float as well and can be stacked.
