Electrolux Design Lab 2011 is a design competition, where industrial design students from all over the world can compete against each other, in the theme ‘Intelligent Mobility’. They received over 1,300 entries, but the mini microwave was proclaimed to be the winner. This mini device can be slided on a specially developed food package, to heat your meal anytime and any moment you want.
Students often have a small budget, New York student Michelle DeCurtis changed this problem into a challenge. She has created many creative projects from reclaimed and upcycled materials. Her bed made of an old fence is displayed at the New York Maker Faire. Perhaps an idea for sustainable entrepreneurs?
