McDonald’s sead bomb

Designer Sean Click came up with the ‘sead bomb’ for MC Donald’s. Eschscholzia californica (the state flower of California) is according to the law illegal to remove, so MC Donald’s placed flowers in the shape of their logo in landfields. Because the removal of these flowers is illegal, land owners have to leave them there or plant around the logo so it isn’t visible.
Red Velvet chocolate milk

Pink or Red Velvet chocolate milk is a fun idea for Valentine’s Day! For two glasses, mix milk with chocolate chips in a pan. Add 2/3 drops of red food coloring for red velvet chocolate milk and add two tablespoons of strawberry syrup for pink chocolate milk. To complete the look add some whipped cream.
Top design for olive oil store

More and more shops find the design of their store important. After the designer bakery and designer butchery which we did mention before we now spotted an olive oil store. TA-ZE has a chain of stores focused on premium olive oil. Their new store in Toronto is designed by managing partner Diego Burdi and Paul Filek. Eat Me is a book with a collection of special art products, brands, people and goods within the world of food. Not only interesting packaging of food, but also by-products such as tools, kitchen and menu design are in the book. There is also a special section in the book with a round-the-world-tour of the newest and most innovative cafes, bars, restaurants and shows. The book is available at the U.S. Book Store.
Luxuous huts on hill

Designer Jorge Gracia designed the environmentally hotel Endemico for the Grupo Habita in the small town Mexicali. The hotel consists out of several huts scattered on a hill. The guests are certainly not lacking out of Luxury, a pool and hot tub are carved into the hillside for beautiful views of the valley.

Liz Goulet Dubois and Winsor Pop designed a Sauced wine glass.In the lead-free crystal wine glasses, measurements are marked on the side. And at the top of each glass the quote “I enjoy cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food” is written by the famous chef Julia Child. Suffering from winter blues? The Open House Gallery (NY) is giving the winter the finger. They’ve created a spring indoor park that is open until the 15th of February. Visitors can sit on benches, bean bags or grass and escape from the rain and the cold weather. There is also food for sale.
