Restaurant Sukerieje opens its doors in Zwolle

Reopening – March 17, restaurant Sukerieje opened its doors at 16 Rodetorenplein in Zwolle. The restaurant moved from Dalfsen to the monumental 17th-century Hopmanshuis in Zwolle’s historic city centre. Chefs Martijn Kuik and Yannick Roodhof not only took the Sukerieje name with them to Zwolle, but also took over operation of the fine dining restaurant, which has been featured in all leading restaurant guides.
Chipotle pilots new all-electric restaurant design alongside sustainable campaign

Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) recently announced a new all-electric restaurant design that works to maximize energy efficiency in its equipment and systems and utilizes 100% renewable energy from wind power and solar through the purchase of certified renewable energy credits. The company recently opened restaurants with the new features in Gloucester, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida, with a third location opening later this summer in Castle Rock, Colorado [1]. The new restaurant design pilot will help Chipotle progress toward its science-based targets, established in alignment with ‘Science Based Targets initiative’ (SBTi), to reduce direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions 50% by 2030 compared to a 2019 baseline.
La Nostra Gigi | A piece of Italy in Amsterdam

Opening – This week, a new hospitality concept opens that offers plenty of room for Italian shared dining and a cozy drink at the charming red cocktail bar. La Nostra Gigi is located at the Marie Heinekenplein in De Pijp neighborhood in Amsterdam. Immersed in Italian atmospheres, La Nostra Gigi is a sparkling addition to the capital’s hospitality offerings. It’s a colorful trattoria, cocktail bar, and lounge all in one, where you can always go for an espresso macchiato, a nice glass of Chianti, a festive cocktail, or an extensive dinner. Keep it simple or go all out, anything is possible here.

SIRO One Za’abeel | Hotel with a Fitness Lab in Dubai is opening in Q4 2023

Kerzner International Holdings Limited (‘Kerzner’) the owner of the iconic Atlantis Resorts & Residences and ultra-luxury One&Only Resorts worldwide, has announced that first-of-its-kind immersive lifestyle and fitness brand, SIRO, will launch its inaugural hotel, SIRO One Za’abeel, in Q4 2023. This first hotel for the SIRO brand will sit in the heart of Dubai’s iconic One Za’abeel development. One Za’abeel is being developed by Ithra Dubai, a fully owned subsidiary of Investment Corporation of Dubai. A second SIRO hotel is planned to open in 2024 in Montenegro.

It was time to take his restaurant in Rotterdam-Zuid to the next level. “My great passion will always be creating tantalising burgers. But I remain a chef at heart. I missed the diversity in my menu.” After four years of successfully serving his famous burgers at Diego’s Burgers restaurant, the burger king decided it was time for a change: “We have redesigned the interior and given it a mature and timeless look. We also enriched the menu with modern dishes such as a salmon ceviche and updated the wine list. But of course, burgers will also retain a place on the menu.”

Mondrian hotel Cannes | The first Mondrian hotel in France

Opening – Ennismore, the fastest-growing lifestyle hospitality company, recently launched the first Mondrian hotel in France with Mondrian Cannes. Located just 7 minutes from the famous steps of the Palais de Festival, the property sits on the site of the first luxury hotel in Cannes opened in 1863.
