Beer52 teamed up with a couple of restaurants | To launch beer & food collaboration

Craft beer delivery aficionados Beer52 have teamed up with a host of London’s very best restaurants to launch an exclusive range of collaborative brews. Arriving on members’ doorsteps this November, the subscription box showcases London’s diverse food scene and will mark the debut of ‘Table’, a new brewing project exploring the relationship between beer and food.
The Dutch Masters’ palate | ‘Previews’ of dishes with Augmented Reality

Maison van den Boer launches exclusive dishes inspired by Dutch Masters this winter. Guests who enjoy ‘The Dutch Masters’ palate’, will receive the finest dishes served as a painting. An intricate composition of colours, shapes and light. Brush strokes and textures, in short dishes as a work of art, accompanied by the perfect beverage. The Van Gogh, Vermeer, Rembrandt and Mondrian dishes can also be ‘pre-tasted’ with the help of Augmented Reality. Each dish reflects the work of art of one of our famous Dutch masters, in presentation and the taste palette!

This week, amongst others, a link to an article about the collaboration between the Dutch department store the Bijenkorf and the Pulitzer Hotel with as result a great Christmas tree. Although we have to admit the Churchill Arms in Kensington Christmas decoration beats everything! And we wished we were living London, we would love to try the ‘Bumper cars on ice’ at the Elephant & Castle rink! The Angad Arts Hotel has yellow, red, green and blue mood rooms and Dominique Ansel the Cronut® creator, will host online masterclasses. Wouldn’t you love to learn how to make some of his creations? JARR Kombucha, the fermented tea drink launched in 2015 by Adam Vanni, Tom and Jess Seaton, and Neil Hinchley, have partnered with Belgian family owned brewery Duvel Moortgat to pave the way for further growth and expansion throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. Another impulse to further expand the sales of Kombucha!

Casa Velas | Holy Guacamole, time for Guacamania!

Do you love guacamole? Casa Velas in Mexico, an adults-only boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta, has been organizing Guacamania, a tribute to the green fruit, twice throughout the year 2018. Guacamania at the hotel means special avocado-focused menus, avocado-themed spa treatments, a dedicated guacamologist and many more! The Guacamania festival took place in March as well as September (in honor of Mexico’s Independence Day). Lots of millennials reading this blog might hope Guacamania returns in 2019! Inspiration for all the hotels which focus on millennials as guests, why doesn’t your restaurant have a guacamologist?

This week, amongst others, about an automatic Negroni machine in the underground cocktail bar Mr. Fogg’s in London and people living there can order IKEA’s Swedish meatballs through Uber Eats. Michelin released their ‘Cantonese Food Guide 2019’, this is the first Michelin guide that focuses on a cuisine, not a city or region. And also a link to a video about the Avocaderia in Brooklyn and the EFSA (the European Food Safety Authority) has developed a new food safety management approach that makes it simpler for small retailers to donate food. We also spotted a link to a great video about the process of making the Aviary Cocktail Book. And do you know where Zerobnb stands for? Or did you ever drink Kaffeost?
Flip Sigi | Special dish: Sinigang Cup Noodles

Flip Sigi is a ‘Filipino Taqueria’ with several locations in New York. The restaurant is a modern take on Filipino cuisine specialized in tacos, burritos, rice bowls, burgers and bao buns. Jordan Andino is the chef and owner, who recently created a temporary special new dish: Sinigang Cup Noodles. A combination of Nissin Cup Noodles and a traditional tangy sinigang soup topped-off with a few crispy fries.

The Christmas magic is back in all Starbucks stores in the USA and Canada. They’re celebrating the spirit of Christmas with new and old Christmas blends, holiday cups and a new ad with real stories and real magic: Starbucks partners featured in holiday ad campaign. We were kind of expecting the festive flavours and the holiday cups but simply love the idea of showing Starbucks partners in their holiday ads!
