The teams are judged on promotion activities, special offers professionalism and skills. There are teams of the police force, de local tourist information office, drivers and other groups.

The ‘Sakura’ collection

The champaignbrand Veuve Clicquot has teamed up with designers from L’atelier LZC the ‘Sakura’ to design a collection. The design is based on the beauty of cherry blossoms and a Japanese tradition in the spring to keep feasts and picnics under the cherry blossoms. The portable box contains half a bottle of champagne and two plastic flutes. A pink jacket can keep the bottle cool for two hours.

An initiative to share costs and preserve the planet. Travelers can register online and submit flight and arrival details. Damrak ‘red carpet’ of Amsterdam

In 2011 the Damrak will experience a make-over. A hotel, breakfast cafe and giftshop will have to achieve this. The names, The Exchange, Stock and Options indicate the presence of the Amsterdam Echange building. The project is an initiative of the Lloyd Hotel, Amsterdam Fashion Institute and NV Stadsgoed. This project should make the Damrak ‘the catwalk of the Netherlands’.
