Become the neighbourhood chef

Tweetjemee an online marketplace for chefs and people who enjoy food, launched October 10th. Local chefs can start their own ‘webtaurant’ on www.tweetjemee.nl. The idea is that you cook a number of meals and then sell them online to people in your neighborhood. People pay through www.tweetjemee.nl, the amateur-chefs each receive 70% of their sales, 10% goes to The Hunger Project and the rest of the money goes the website to improve the platform.

All ears in Koblenz

In March 2010 Ganz Ohr in Koblenz was organized for the third time. Authors read from their own work at extraordinary venues while appropriate music played. For each artist, an individual atmosphere was created. The Koblenz Tourist Office, and the bookstore Reuffel invited once again national and international writers, newcomers and renowned writers.

Water footprint

In collaboration with two other environmental organizations, WWF launched a campaign to make people aware of their water footprint. For example, the production of 200 grams of beef requires 3960 liters of water.

Artistic beer glasses by Duvel

Duvel designed three special glass in collaboration with various artists. These glasses are for sale this month for € 8, =. Each glass is a limited edition of 25,000 glasses.

Carpool to concerts and festivals

Joly ice cream

Another nice example of shop-in-shop. Ice maker of the year in 2004 Wesmael David, who works at the Groupe Holder (Ladurée among others), developed the ice cream Joly. The creamy ice cream is kept at -8 degrees Celsius and finished with toppings a la minute in the Water-bar of the department store Colette in Paris. Ice cream from Jerome Biarritz is alsosold ice here, the icemaker is specialized in special flavors of ice cream, for example Chantaco, Ginger Lime, Neige du Sahara, Rock’n Rhum, Xocolate.

Grand Marnier cocktail balls

Christophe Coppens has designed three globular Grand Marnier cocktail glasses. There is a personal message on each ball, that represents the mood you are in. For example: “Sure Maybe” and ‘No Thanks-Anytime”.

Toronto has launched a project to prevent local grown fruit to perish. Volunteers pick fruit in the gardens of people who do not want to do this themselves. One third of the fruit is meant for the owner, one third goes to the volunteers and one third goes to charities in the area.

The 20th of July it was friendship-day in Argentina (Dia del Amigo). For the occasion, Coca-Cola designed a giant vendingmachine. The slot for the coins was placed 2 meters high. This required some help of friends to reach the slot.
