The Brazalian brewer ABInBev’s Skol produced in partnership with chocolaterie Folie and São Paulo ad agency F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi easter eggs with beer. It seems that this is a seasonal one-off action, but could be a nice variation on the liqueur chocolates.
‘The Spot of Jaffa’ is a lickable wallpaper, here installed in an elevator. Inspired by Willy Wonka, Chef Heston Blumental and artist Damien Hirst created this wallpaper. Employees of Engine, a communications company in London, tried the first wallpaper of McVities Jaffa Cakes in their elevator. The wallpaper consists of flavored stickers that are removed and replaced after a lick, a responsible task for the elevator attendant. We want a wall like this!
The Mister T is designed in Paris by Antoine Lesur. The four separate parts can be used as footrest, tray, side table or stool.
The Zéro Gâchis provides discount for food products that are almost expired. Consumers can real-time see when food is discounted in the collaborating shops.
With this flashmob video TicTac makes a nice viral video. A guy askes an unsuspecting victem the way to the station and passes away by his ‘bad breath’.
A simple coffee machine built in an IKEA cabinet. Send a text message with “coffee” or “latte”and the Textspresso makes a cup of coffee for you. Soon, the machine also features a printer with edible ink, so you can get foam on your coffee.
Mid April the first Dutch insect cookbook will be available in stores, created by entomology professors Arnold van Huis and Marcel Dicke and cooking teacher Henk van Gurp. With recipes like grasshopper skewers, insect cookies, flower power insect salad and much more. In the Netherlands, insects are rare as a dish, but 80% of the world population eats insects. The ‘fruits de terre’ are full of proteins and have a much smaller environmental footprint. This cookbook provides besides recipes facts and figures about buying and preserving insects as well. It also features interviews with top chefs and growers.
Do you like the classic brown paper bag of bread, but you think it is annoying that you can use only once and that the bag will quickly tear apart. Try this new paper bag, the bag is insulated and therefore reusable and also good for the environment.
A nice idea for Mother’s Day, a chocolate pallette. Christophe Roussel made ??a nice make-up set of edible chocolate, a nice alternative for the traditional box of chocolates.
