On Sunday, October 17th restaurant “Schulten Hues” in The Netherlands celebrates its eight-year anniversary with a special edition of a book called ‘Portfolio XL’. The book is published in a special limited edition size of 0.7 x 0.5 meters. The content of the book is still a surprise!
The Inter Continental Park Lane Hotel in London designed a special burger for the Fashion Week (September 17th to 22nd), the so-called “skinny burger”. The burger only contains 143 calories and 2.4 grams of fat. The burger is served with a glass of wild berry ice tea and costs 20,- pounds.
Masterchef Pieter Damen put his “signature”on a very special wine service cabinet. This cabinet is coated with leather. The stitching and the color of the leather is picked based on the limited edition watch that is included. The wine cabinet can be set at different temperatures and has a capacity of 120 bottles.
The restaurant has a total surface of over 2,000 square meters and can accommodate up to 800 people. For a fixed price, guests can order dishes from 9 different (Asian) countries. The restaurant, owned by the Cosmo restaurant chain, which counts 12 restaurants, will open at the beginning of November.
The café Snakes & Lattes in Toronto offers its customers a choice of 1,500 board games. It wants to increase the personal interaction between customers in the bar. The cafe therefore has no wifi.
Next Sunday, September 19th Agoston Organic Champagne & Krieger will be present at the first Fabulous Food Festival with a booth full of organic and biodynamic champagne. One of these champagnes is the “Cuvee Sagesse” of the house Franck Pascal, called ‘Brut Nature’, with no sugar and 60% less sulphite; the new champagne-trend.
The biological snackcorner Friethoes, Haarlem, The Netherlands, has launched a mobile version of their snackcorner. In this mobile snack car the consumer is able to order an organic bag of fries. As the owners rent out their mobile snackcorner, this attraction can be seen at various events.
Local farmers in Ecuador invented edible roses. The roses are of the same type as the non-edible roses, but by an alternative treatment suitable as food for humans.
The “Boil Buoy” lets you know when your water is boiling. By means of a little bell the “boil buoy” indicates when the water is boiling.
