Harvest festival potato

This coming 14th of July, the Harvest festival in the theme of the potato takes place in Amsterdam Roest, organized by Youth Food Movement and artist Sascha Landshoff. The potato is one of the most eaten, but as well one of the least rated vegetation in the Netherlands. This festival takes place in a time of the estrangement the urban consumers have with their food.

We like the smaller festivals

Jeroen Mutsaers co-owner of the event organization 12inchCity indicates that festival vistors from the big cities move to smaller festivals in the east. Last year 12inchCity organized for the first time a small scale festival called Greafental dance festival. On 7 and 8 July, the second edition of the Greafental festival will be organized.

Starting today a 3000 square meter urban farm on top of the office complex Zuidpark opened in the Netherlands. This scale of urban rooftop farming is the largest in Europe.
Bangkok University

The Bankok University has been renovated to underline the nickname Creative University. The ground floor area is designed as a flexible hang-out space that can be reconfigured for studying alone or in groups, resting and meetings. The mezzanine level is a fun and game zone, it includes a pink polka-dotted Karaoke hut. The game zone includes a huge pool table and a giant dart board. Inside the 6,5-meter high panda is the spiral staircase connecting the ground floor and mezzanine. Students enter the staircase from the backside and exit from the back of the head. The mouth of the panda is a window.
Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore

The opening of the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore will allow the city-state to tap Asia’s growing cruise industry while it will also provide thousands of new jobs. Situated at the edge of Singapore’s waterfront downtown district, the ultra-modern terminal is expected to latch onto the city’s booming tourism industry, which benefited from double digit growth in visitor arrivals to 13.2 million last year.
