That is what chef Nancy Bourguignon from the restaurant at Hotel B Design & Spa in France is doing. This charming design hotel in the Provence is located near Les Baux-de-Provence and offers their guest this small gesture of hospitality.

On average one out of ten people in the world are lefthanded. According to a Dutch article ‘Wetenschap in Beeld’ a cork screw is one of the worst obstacles for lefthanded people. In order to solve this problem Pulltex, producer of cork screws, developed a special version of the corkscrew for lefthanded people with another direction of rotation. De ‘Pullparrot’ has a double lever and an extra-long spiral.

Conservatorium Hotel | Christmas advent calendar

The Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam is creating a special Christmas season this year. The hotel has a Christmas advent calendar at their website and on December 9, the official Tree Lighting ceremony will be held in the lobby. Their Christmas tree is decorated in collaboration with jewelry brand Buccellati and will be revealed with a performance by the Dutch National Opera & Ballet.

When we drive through Belgium and see the exit to the city of Sint-Niklaas, I always think of our Dutch version of Santa Claus, Sinterklaas. Actually, it’s just logical thinking to let the modern version of Sinterklaas originate from this town, don’t you think? Chocolatier Wim Vyverman of the Chocolate-Atelier Vyverman in Sint-Niklaas currently started selling chocolate, including special treats for Sinterklaas, in a chocolate vending machine in the lobby of Hotel Serwir.

AccorHotels wants to revolutionize hospitality with its new brand: JO&JOE. A brand co-constructed with its future guests, disrupting traditional codes. JO&JOE will blend private-rental, hostel and hotel formats. They want to reinvent and disrupt the experience in terms of design approach, catering, service and guest journey. By 2020 a total of 50 venues have to be open at destinations popular with Millennials, like locations in Paris and Bordeaux (2018) and Warsaw, Budapest, Rio and São Paulo.
